All were done very well and so I recently had them install hardwood flooring thoughout our new construction home. Update: After living with this floor for two years, I have become very concerned by the fact that the finish chips easily. I’ve had hardwood engineered flooring in my living areas for years and I’ve never seen damage like this one has sustained. It’s a beautiful looking floor but it is fragile. I’m afraid they will tell me that it’s because I have a dog but I had the same type of dog on my other wood floors and didn’t have this happen.”

“Planning to undertake two projects in the fall, we collected bids from a variety of contractors. Specifically, we replaced all downstairs flooring with LVP and remodeled our master shower. We chose Five Star Floors based on their reputation, cost, and professionalism. We chose to wait until after Thanksgiving.... a wise decision as both projects were a pretty big undertaking. Demolishing mostly tile and engineered wood was a dirty and laborious part of the job. Be prepared for a disrupted household and anticipate a lot of clean up. The tile removal process was not the "dustless" technique. (We knew that and opted to not pay the additional expense for that service) Tom and Susan were wonderful to work with, providing guidance for our flooring decisions. Their selection of materials in their showroom was vast (and a bit overwhelming). The same crew worked on both projects and delivered results within the timeframe agreed upon. Communication throughout the job was transparent with no "surprises". We are very happy we chose Five Star Floors for our remodel and will be working with them in the near future when the upstairs carpets will be replaced.”
