About
Floors For Living runs a flooring store in Magnolia, Texas, at the showroom on FM 1488. They sell and install carpet, hardwood, tile, laminate, and luxury vinyl from brands such as Mohawk, Shaw, and COREtec. Sales staff at the location help customers pick materials for homes, and crews handle the removal of old floors plus new installs across the area.
Customers have had carpet laid in living spaces, wood-look laminate swapped into bedrooms, tile set in bathrooms, and luxury vinyl plank placed over entire houses including stairs. Some needed matches for discontinued wood, while others chose durable wood-look tile for homes with kids and dogs. Tim handled several carpet and laminate jobs that finished fast with strong results. Chris and Josh guided selections that fit budgets and styles, and crews like those working with Norman or Jimmie completed work ahead of schedule with clean outcomes.
Sales reps such as Tim, Tommy Edwards, and Mike return calls quickly, stay patient through long decisions, and keep prices competitive without pressure. Installs often wrap in one to three days once materials arrive, with crews handling demo and final touches. The store requires homeowners to cover surfaces before tile tear-outs, and delivery stays on time for most projects in the Magnolia vicinity.

What Customers Say
“Tuesday 9/29/26 Tim was really great with helping me get carpet installed. The guys came over and did it really fast. The house looks so different and the carpet quality was great. I am out of town but my realtor got good pictures.”
“Love my new floors from Floors for Living! I had two carpeted bedrooms replaced with wood-look laminate and they turned out better than I had imagined. Chris worked with me to find the right style and color, and the installation was completed ahead of schedule. Everyone at the company was so friendly and helpfuI. I highly recommend them if you’re looking for new floors.”
“Tim a the Magnolia store was great to work with and patient. Took us 3 months to finalize our decision. The floor we selected worked out great. It transformed our house. Installation crew were nice and did a fantastic job.”
“Beautiful tile floors installed in two bathrooms within 2 weeks of signing the contract. Installation was great. You do have to do prep work before installers arrive, such as covering counters, lights, and mirrors that you don't want to get dusty when they tear out the old tile, but that is clearly spelled out by the salesperson.”
“We love our floors! Tim was so helpful (not pushy) and really made the whole process so easy. With two dogs and a young son, we picked wood-look tile for durability. I was nervous that I wouldn't like it as much as LVP or hardwood, but my husband and I comment on how much we love our floors every day. The price was better than expected, and we plan to go back once we re-do our carpets. We would absolutely recommend Floors for Living and Tim to anyone.”
“Bought my floor here at the Magnolia location on 1488. I was uncertain which floor would match my house the best, but that is were Tommy Edward’s helped me, and with his expertise and knowledge, he helped me choose the right floor for my house with the quality and budget I was looking for! Thank you Tommy Edward’s, if anyone is looking for floor I highly recommend to use him!”
“We purchased a new home and performed some remodeling involving wood flooring. The original floor material has been discontinued so we were tasked with finding a match. Josh and the Floors for Living team came up with a terrific match and delivery of the new material was facilitated promptly. Great result and would recommend strongly.”
“Tim worked to accommodate all of our needs when buying new floors. He wasn't pushy and helped us get what we wanted for the best price. We love our new floors!”
“Sales rep Tim K. is friendly, easy to talk to, and very patient. Anytime I had a question, he got back to me right away. Josh and Logan were also really kind and helpful — they always had a smile on their faces and made me feel very welcomed. We did run into a small hiccup during the process, but the manager, Tommy, stepped in right away and was very proactive in getting it sorted out. I really appreciate how everyone here took the time to help. The store has such a great variety of flooring colors and styles. Honestly, it was tough to choose because every option looked beautiful. The installers who worked on my floors were very detail-oriented, and the final result looks amazing. I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out!”
“Josh Ransom at Floors For Living was great to work with! They installed new floors in our whole house in just a few days. They did a beautiful job and we love our new floors! Thanks for all your help, Josh and Floors For Living!”
“I would 100% recommend them!! Tim is very professional and polite with a lot of knowledge behind him and a lot professionalism in what he does. We were quoted a 3 day flooring install and their team was able to get our laminate flooring done in just one day!! They were polite, friendly, and clean with the work they did! I’ll definitely be calling them again to install new carpets when needed!!”
“Buyer Beware. I don't often take the time to leave negative reviews however my experience with Floors for Living is one worth sharing to caution future customers to take your home project elsewhere. Immediately. I purchased 16 stair treads with install/labor back in May 2026 totalling $3,400. My experience during the purchase was great - or so I thought. The team seemed knowledgeable, patient and thorough. Floors for Living is none of these things and I was completely bamboozled. What I received on that day was a misrepresentation of F4L ability to complete the project I paid for and scope of work. As of today - almost 5 months later, I'm left with an unfinished staircase and material completely mismatched from my homes current floorings. After being passed from an instore team member to the Store Manager Tim where I was assured time after time there would be resolution, all they were able to provide is the run around and solutions that meant cutting corners and a low quality of work when I paid for quality price tag. Separate from F4L misrepresentation of scope of work and transparency is their materials used. I purchased 16 stair treads the same color, material and manufacture ”
“We used Floors for Living to replace laminate flooring with LVP, and I’m really happy with the results. Pricing was competitive, but both the sales and installation teams worked with us to ensure a smooth installation with flooring we love. I plan to use them again for future flooring projects.”
“My sales rep Chris was easy to deal with provided efficient and quality service. Flooring was delivered timely. Would definitely use them again”
“I would 100% recommend Floors for living for any flooring project! This was our 2nd house that we have used them for, both times Norman was our point of contact he always made the process so easy & flawless from start to finish. There was never any pressure from him. He was always very prompt and knowledgeable. We will definitely be using him for any future projects.”
“Just had my LVP floors and carpet installed by Floors For Living. My wife and I could not be happier with the results! It looks fantastic! From the initial meeting with Tim, our sales rep, to the dustless tile demo, the LVP floor and carpet installation and the follow up, was professionally seamless. We were kept apprised of schedules, and any delays in arrival (most were very punctual) and as a result, our schedules were minimally impacted. The work performed and the cleanup after each phase was of high quality and very professional. We are more than willing to give the whole experience an enthusiastic 5 stars. Thanks Tim!”

“I had an excellent experience with Floors for Living on FM 1488 in Magnolia. Mike provided outstanding guidance in helping me select the ideal color and pattern for my stairs. The carpet is of exceptional quality, and their selection was notably larger than what I encountered at Lowe’s. Additionally, the pricing was more competitive, offering better value for a superior product. The installation process was seamless, and the installers were both efficient and meticulous, leaving the area clean and tidy. I highly recommend Floors for Living for their impressive product range, professional service, and competitive pricing.”
“What a great experience from start to finish. I had my office carpet taken out and replaced with luxury vinyl flooring. Jimmie Palomera gave great customer service and was so helpful when choosing the right flooring. She also took the time out to come to my house to measure and help me match the existing flooring. The workers were efficient and made sure that I liked everything before they left. I will be going back to purchase new carpeting for my other rooms too!”
“The rating of 1 is generous! The entire experience has been a nightmare. The reputation of a company rests on their service and their effort to rectify a situation when a mistake is made. We have found this company and their personnel to be concerned only about their bottom line, not their customers. We will never use this company for any flooring. Not once, but twice, the tile delivered for our floor was not the same as the sample in the showroom. We accepted the second tile even though it was different than the sample so that we could proceed with removal and installation. It is a rougher finish than the tile in the showroom. The demo crew had been told that the only area on the first floor not to be touched was the master bath and closet. There were two layers of plastic that we had carefully placed and taped far enough onto the tile in the bathroom to gave the crew room to work but clearly defined the bath tile was not to be touched. But no! They pulled the plasic back and broke 3 tiles (not just 1) in the entry of the bathroom. We had 1 spare tile for that floor, but it was not enough to make the repair. We preferred that the tile be matched to the existing bathroom but it i”
