Houston Carpet & Classic Floors

Houston Carpet & Classic Floors handles flooring work out of Pearland, Texas. Grant and Angie run the family owned business that started in 1972. They install carpet, hardwood, laminate, tile and luxury vinyl plank. They also handle countertops, shower doors, painting, remodeling and concrete work. Customers call them for full house floor replacements and bathroom updates that include new vanities, tile showers and barn doors.

Reviewers describe jobs like tearing out old tubs and installing walk in showers with tile walls, laying luxury vinyl plank across entire first floors, and fixing storm damage to ceilings. Grant and Angie helped pick quartz, fixtures and wood looking porcelain tile. Crews repaired floors that buckled from moisture or foundation movement, removed pony walls, patched ceilings after column removal and replaced carpet in multiple homes over the years. One crew fixed a roof leak around a chimney and painted after the repair.

They show up when promised, often the same week an order is placed, and finish bathroom remodels in about three weeks. Grant and Angie answer questions during selection and keep customers updated. They move furniture, work around business hours when needed and return to fix issues like loose transitions. The shop sits at 2022 Broadway St in Pearland and has handled rental properties there for more than twenty five years.

Most reviews praise the professional crews and solid results on repeat jobs. One lower mark noted dust and later blistering on older laminate. DIRT Score 4 from 29 reviews on Finds.

“We hired Houston Carpet and Classic Floors to do a remodel of our first floor and we are thrilled with the job they did for us. They totally remodeled our master bath by removing our tub, shower, vanity and mirrors. They built a wall in shower with tile walls, and installed a new vanity. They also installed a barn door on the master bath. They also removed all the flooring on our first floor and installed luxury vinyl flooring throughout. While doing all this, we had some storm damage to our ceiling they repaired flawlessly. I would highly recommend Houston Carpet and Classic Floors for flooring AND remodeling work.”

“We have used Houston Carpet several times. They have installed tile and wood flooring. Also, removed columns in our dining room and patched ceiling. They are very professional, on-time and do a great job. Customer service is excellent.”

“This is the fourth time we have used Houston Carpet & Classic floors to replace flooring in our home. The first time was probably 15 years ago in our first home and they replaced all of our carpet and some of the ceramic tile and they did a wonderful job. When we bought our current home 9 years ago they replaced all of the carpet and again did a wonderful job. Then a couple of years ago we decided to put a hard surface in our study and they helped us pick out a beautiful vinyl that looks like wood. Then Hurricane Harvey came and we had a roof leak and had to replace all the flooring upstairs and flooring on the stairs. We liked the vinyl in our study so we decided to go with vinyl again. We choose a different vinyl that looks exactly like wood...it even has imperfections and knot holes like wood. You can't tell the difference. Houston Carpet & Classic Floors has always been professional and great to work with. Even the installers are courteous and professional. If we need floors again, guess where we will go??? Houston Carpet & Classic Floors!”

“I have used Houston Carpet and Classic Floors twice and both times I have been thoroughly pleased. The first time was several years ago when we replaced carpet with beautiful wood flooring in our living room. Angie was very helpful in helping me pick out exactly what I wanted. She let me bring home multiple samples to see how they looked with the lighting in my house. She was very patient and shared her expertise to help me find exactly what I was looking for. The floor was installed perfectly and I have been very satisfied. More recently we decided to replace flooring in other rooms in the house. I didn't even think of going anywhere but Houston Carpet and Flooring. Angie was there again to help me pick out exactly what I wanted. Once again I brought home samples and picked what I liked. To my surprise, the installer was the same person who had installed the hardwood on my first floor several years ago. Again he did an excellent job through four rooms in my home. The project was started and finished in the amount of time planned and I couldn't be happier. Grant, Angie's husband, was here daily to check on everything and to make sure everything was to my liking. ”

“They did an excellent job installing our wood floors. If they said they were going to at my home at 8:00am, they were there. They moved my furniture and placed it back when they were finish. They have a great work ethic and I didn’t have to wait months to get them installed the floors were installed within a week after I placed the order. I give them a Five star. Our next project with be installing wood floors in our bedroom.”

“This is the second time I have had the pleasure of being a client to this company since hurricane harvey. They helped me tremendously both with our residence And most recently with my family business. Grant and his associates have been very caring and attentive to our needs in both cases, and I cannot be more satisfied with the jobs they have done. The job required at the business was harder than anticipated, and they were great with everything and even molding their schedule to fit our business hours. I will recommend these guys to anyone who has flooring questions or needs in the future, and will be reaching out if I have any issues/questions of my own going forward for both the business and our home.”

“We had a wonderful experience working with Grant Hadley and his family at Houston Carpet & Classic floors this week. While preparing to put our house on the market to sell, we discovered a problem with the hard wood floors in two bedrooms.Somehow moisture seeped under the wood, staining the floor in one room and buckling the wood in the other room. Grant assessed the damage and ordered replacement wood on Tuesday. His crew removed the old wood, applied a moisture barrier, and floated the floors on Wednesday. They installed the beautiful new floors on Friday. In just four days, what we thought was a disaster became a miracle! Grant and his wife were pleasant, easy to work with, professional, and efficient. The floor installers were masters at wood working. They were skilled craftsmen who worked quickly, taking only a one-half hour lunch break. They were careful of the walls and cleaned everything up immediately. They also were very easy to work with. The new floors are more beautiful than the floors they replaced. It is nice to do business with a neighborhood vendor who treats customers as if they are family. Pearland is certainly fortunate to have Houston Carpet & Classic Floors ”

“We had carpet installed in the bedrooms and LVP installed through out the rest of the house. Angie and Grant are amazing! They were so helpful in helping us choose the right flooring. They answered all of our questions. They were on time and did a great job! I can't say enough nice things about the service and quality. I am extremely satisfied and highly recommend them!”

“Houston Carpet did an AMAZING job on our floors. We love the LVP flooring and it's always the first thing guests compliment us on. They also removed a pony wall which made our home more open and removed the slate tile flooring that was in the kitchen, leveled everything out and made the transition from room to room seemless!! I can't say enough great things about HCCF. We just really love how everything turned out! They were so easy to work with, their work is impeccable and the whole process was easy and the guys were very professional. 😊😊😊”

“Houston Carpet has taken care of our rental property in Pearland for 25 + years. Carpet replacement and cleaning, nath and shower tile replacement, and a complete carpet to laminate floor replacement. They backed up their work when needed.”

“We had laminate installed 9 years ago and had some bad experiences. First, they removed some tile and did nothing to prevent the dust from going all over the place. I had to bring it on several cleaning crews to deal with dust on everything. Then, most of the threshhole transitions came loose and cracked. Finally, the laminate is blistering.”

“The BEST experience I have ever had with a flooring company. Loyal to their customers. Loyal to their community. I will never use anyone else. We are really blessed to have s omeone who has been here successfully for more than 50 years!”

“This company was exactly what we've been looking for. We updated our stairs and one office area. They did a phenomenal job very quickly and were available for questions and comments all along the way. Job well done at a great rate. Thank you for our updated home.”

“Angie and Grant are so helpful. Made me feel welcome and confident about making my choices of color and products. I have used this store on several occasions. Great Customer Service.”

“Houston Carpet has replaced the flooring in almost every room of our house including the staircase. Great company with friendly prompt and reliable service.”
