Floor Coverings International East Austin

Floor Coverings International East Austin handles flooring work out of Pflugerville. Muthu and his wife Annam run the operation and focus on bringing material samples to homes for selection along with full installation services. They cover jobs such as carpet removal and replacement, luxury vinyl plank installs, engineered hardwood swaps, and repairs after issues like kitchen leaks that affect multiple rooms. The pair also coordinate with other contractors when needed for bigger projects that include cabinets or general repairs.

Customers describe jobs that range from single bedroom refreshes to complete house flooring changes. Reviewers note Muthu and Annam helping pick materials when the first choice was unavailable and guiding return clients on pricing. Install crews remove old floors, prep surfaces, and finish in one or two days even with bulky furniture or tight angles to work around. Several mention the teams handling rental properties quickly so owners could list them and others dealing with supply delays by switching to in stock options that still met the look and budget.

The company works by sending Muthu and Annam out for measurements and quotes on the spot. Reviewers point out fast responses to calls and schedule changes plus flexibility when delivery dates needed adjustment. Pricing comes across as fair compared to other bids and the install crews arrive on time to move items and complete the work without extra delays. Service stays in the East Metro Austin area with most jobs finished in a single day once materials arrive.

“I am very pleased with my new floors! I had my bedrooms replaced last November (2024) and decided the whole house needed to be redone. Muthu and Annam came to my house and were just so pleasant to talk and work with. They already knew what type of flooring I needed since I had the same in the bedrooms. They helped me with pricing as a return customer. The flooring installers they had do the work did a great job! They removed all the old engineered hardwood (seen in one of the pics), prepped the floors, and then installed the next day. They put in two long days of laborious work! I love my floors! Definitely recommend FCI if you're getting quotes for new floors.”

“My house has had some major repairs recently. It's still a work in progress but the Floors are officially done. I interviewed several contractors and decided to go with Muthu and his wife's company. They showed up with samples and worked with me on the design and progress. My original option was on backorder, but Muthu worked with me on choosing other Luxury Vinyl Plank that would Arrive sooner. They had plenty of options to choose from, had wonderful product knowledge and were a pleasure work with. I'm very happy with the installation and the finished product.”

“10/10 experience! I had a kitchen leak and needed to replace all my floors, cabinets, and more. After visiting multiple flooring stores and speaking with several contractors, I was overwhelmed trying to figure out what to choose and who to trust. Muthu and his wife came to my home with a wide range of floor samples and made the decision so easy. They were kind, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. I knew right away I wanted to work with them. From start to finish, they made the process effortless. I’m absolutely OBSESSED with my new floors! They also connected me with a general manager (Lee) and cabinet contractor (DS Woodworks), who I’ve been using to finalize my kitchen. It’s hard to find contractors who deliver both quality work and great service, but this team truly does. I only wish I had found them sooner. So grateful for Floor Coverings!”

“We are very happy with our new carpet and overall experience! Muthu and Annam came to our home and did the measurements, pulled out products for us to look at and gave us a quote right then. They were very kind and respectful of our home and really just a pleasure to work with. Also they were very responsive with my questions that I had and ordered the product right away. I needed to change the date for delivery and they were flexible with me. The carpet feels great and the padding that we went with is also great quality. The price was very fair and I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family.”

“We recently had FCI install new flooring in several large areas of our house. It was a challenging job, with supply issues, tight spaces, a number of bulky appliances and large pieces of furniture to be shuffled around, and many angles to trim around. In spite of it all, they did an outstanding job for us. The price was very much in-line with other companies. The main reason we selected them in the first place was how consistently responsive and knowledgeable Muthu was in the initial stages and throughout the process. He responded graciously to multiple changes to scope and materials, which required several iterations on the quote. He spent a lot of time chasing down materials and gave us updates along the way. Once the materials finally arrived, he got the installers to our house very quickly. The crew was clearly very experienced - they worked diligently, skillfully, and with good attitude, and the results are really outstanding. We didn't have any issues with the result or have to get them back to fix anything - it was done right the first time and looks beautiful - everyone that's seen it is very impressed. I would highly recommend giving them a shot if you're considering n”

“I will definitely use this company again! For a gal on the go with little experience, I needed ease for a refresh on my rental condo. No over explanation or hoops to jump. They were so easy to work with -- I had researched Home Depot, Lowe's and other options but all seemed like too much "work". I just wanted someone to come in, make a decision, and get it done. The Floor Coverings team was quick, efficient and worked to make sure I had the best possible service and installation. They arrived on time, moved my furniture, flattened spots that needed it, and actually installed directly over the old to add additional cushion and noise buffering in my old 1970's condo. Done in one day with furniture right back where it was before! Wow! Muthu and his wife were very kind in meeting with me between busy schedules, and quoting fairly. They are so peaceful and calm. Like having a little spa treatment for mind and floor. The refreshed space looks great and will hold up for years!”

“Muthu and team were so helpful to us. My mom moved out of her house in south Austin and we needed to quickly recarpet the bedrooms. Muthu was incredibly responsive, understood our urgency, and got us through the process quickly. The carpet looks great and we have the property listed. Thanks Muthu!”

“Our floor removal ended up being very challenging but they stuck with it and did a beautiful job! They really paid a lot of attention to the details.”

“Muthu from Floor coverings was unbelievable. When I made the request, he visited our house right way on a Sat. He also made many suggestions (to help reduce the cost and make it look better) as he would do to a friend. Throughout the project he kept me informed, and sent me photos of the progress. We did have hiccups but he was gracious to resolve it right away to get the project going and was very transparent. Overall, highly satisfied with the look, cost, and customer service.”
