“The doggy door is installed. That's the only reason this isn't zero stars. I was initially given an estimate of 2-2.5 hours. Six hours and SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS later, it's finally finished. I could have just bought a new door with a doggy door preinstalled for that. My door is all banged up and the paint is peeling because it was just sat directly on the saw horses with no padding or rags. One of the pins is ruined and no longer goes in or prevents the door from opening too far and banging in to the brick. The guy was nice enough, but I do have a thought. When taking breaks for medical conditions or making personal phone calls, maybe remove that from the billable time? Not sure why I had to pay $115 an hour to listen to a dad talk to his son. The quality of work is a 5/10 the project estimate accuracy is a 0/10 and the value is a -10/10. I will never use Ace handyman services again or shop at any of their retail stores. Just use Mr. Handyman or find an independent contractor.”

“First I have used Ace Handyman just not this location and my experience was great. This experience was NOT that. I needed help for 3 doors to close. He fixed 1 and the others he needed to shave the top, which I have had done at another house so said yes. Attached is one of the doors, the other just as bad. Now I am trying to look at what I can do to really fix it. And this cost me $300. Which is ridiculous and upsetting.”

“Update: We tried to see if the company would make it right and refund us some money as this job should have taken no more than 2 hours tops. Unfortunately, the company only offered $60 off a future booking or 1 hour free on any future job over 3 hours. This company does not value its customers as the only way they’d “make it right” is by forcing us to use their services in the future. We have no intention of using this company again and unless you want to get ripped off I suggest you look elsewhere for your own projects. The job was to replace a 4x8 section of drywall ceiling in the garage. First, I have no complaints about the quality of work. The craftsman assigned was very friendly and did a good job with the replacement. My issue is with the amount of time that it took to replace, especially when you’re paying an hourly rate of $115. I do not feel like it should have taken 4 hours to hang 1 piece of drywall and mud. There was no cutting involved to remove drywall, it was just a hang and mud job. Even my husband helped with the hanging and the clean up to try and speed the process up some. I don’t feel like the job should have cost a total of $555 with labor and added cost of a”

He professionally performed the removal a bad gas heating unit of my inground swimming pools and spa and he squeaky cleaned to dispose the debris of this broken equipment. He was very courteous and the charge for his service was reasonable. I would highly recommend ACE Handyman Services for any repair or replacement around the home or business.”

“Ace Handyman Services was recommended to us by our neighbor. We needed 2 new doors fitted and replaced. We struggled finding someone who could do the work. Ace Handyman Services agreed to the job and I couldn’t be happier with their services and professionalism. This job was a bit problematic and Ace came out 2 extra times to rectify new issues we were having and handled them with courtesy and promptness. I was further impressed that the owner came out to ensure the work was done correctly and it was, we just had some unforeseen issues that made it a challenge. I appreciate that I was kept informed when the craftsman would arrive and if there was a need to change the schedule. They were always on time. I look forward to using them again as we prepare our home for sale.”

“5-27-25 David was on time & did a great job. I had several things needing to be done & he fixed them all. I had 2 ceiling fans that were noisy & he fixed them. He replaced light bulbs that I cant reach, repaired an area of sheetrock that was damaged & painted it & fixed a part of the ceiling in my garage. Now it all looks great. I will be asking for David the next time. I highly recommend him Nancy Madeley 1-16-23. Jennifer was on time she replaced 2 outside lights & replaced a ground fault plug that had quit working. She did a good job & all was finished in a short time. I would use her services again. She let me know she also is good at doing drywall Ryan was on-time. He installed a ring doorbell & was a great deal of help with setting it up on my phone. He also hung a stained glass piece & replaced a light bulb outside that I couldn’t reach. He did an excellent job & was very professional. I will request Ryan in the future 4-13-23. kyle installed 2 ceiling fans on my back porch. He did a great job. I appreciared that he made a trip to Home depot to get parts that were needed. The fans look great. He cleaned everything up. I would recommend Ace Handyman services for any job”

“Ben repaired a gate that had be broken by misuse and reinforced it by replacing bent hinges, making adjustments, and working professionally to cause it to swing open freely and close and lock easily. I lined him up for several future projects because I was so pleased with the quality of his work and his wonderful demeanor. I highly recommend him! After the aforementioned work, Ben then did this Powder Room floor project. He used my original 20 year old tiles to replace a dirty carpeted floor for a continuous flow of original floor covering from entryway into the 1/2 bath. I’m beyond happy! Thank you, Ben.”

Showed up on time to replace an old attic ladder. Worked very efficiently, finished faster than the estimated time to complete the job which saved me some cash, was very detail oriented, answered all my questions, did what I consider a quality job, cleaned up the work area, and was pleasant to deal with. From the initial call to them through completion of the work, I felt I was dealing with professionals. I won’t hesitate to call them for my next project.”

This review in no way is to discount the actual work performed by the handyman sent to my house. He was friendly and did the job well. My issue is with scheduling and communication issues with the quote, time taken to complete the job, and final price charged. I called Ace to see about getting siding repaired on my house. I texted pictures of the damage and received a quote back for $345 for 2 hours of work and 3 pieces of siding to be replaced. We scheduled for May 28. On May 28 I was told that the handyman assigned to my job walked off the job and was rescheduled for the next day. On that appt day I was told the handyman assigned to my job got a flat tire and was rescheduled for another day. On that appt day I was told the handyman assigned was double booked and was rescheduled again. Then on that appt day the handyman arrived without a ladder so the work could not be done that day. Based on our conversation, it seems like a lot of it was failure to communicate well by the office manager. The owner personally came out to correct errors - on a Saturday! - and then refunded most of the excess amount charged. I really appreciated that he took a personal interest in making sure we were happy. It's clear he values the integrity of his workers and the job they do.*** I really, really wanted to like this company and the job they did. I gave them the benefit of the doubt multiple times, but there have been too many issues for me to be able to overlook or excuse. I guess the first problem was me not insisting on a contract for the quote. We wanted the bathroom counter in our master bathroom replaced with granite, and they quoted us $1,700 without seeing it in-person. I specifically told them there would be issues with the plumbing because it was a custom job with the old sinks. I was very clear that it would take more work.
