Oscar Renda Contracting
Foundation Contractor · Coppell, TX
About
Oscar Renda Contracting works as a general contractor on foundation and concrete tasks from its base in Coppell, Texas. The listed address sits in Roanoke and the profile covers general contracting across bridges and transportation, tunnels, marine work, water resources and specialty structures. Large infrastructure projects form the main line of work, with crews sent to sites in multiple states rather than staying local.
Customers describe repeated problems on these jobs. Vendors on a Detroit area infrastructure project waited over eight months for payment despite repeated calls with no response. Subcontractors note disorganized site management that relies on outside crews and then hounds them on performance and invoices while delaying pay. One project in the N Alamo area stretched well past the December or January finish date into April. Water supply work in Baltimore and at Druid Lake ran late, drew notices over chlorinated water releases and involved removal of old growth trees without prior soil checks. A Houston road job left Memorial Drive disrupted for four years and counting.
The company draws criticism for slow replies on vendor bills and subcontractor questions, with some reports of identity issues when social security numbers were flagged but not addressed. Operations reach wide regions yet leave gaps in local coordination and follow through. Reviewers flag safety shortfalls and quality shortfalls on concrete and foundation portions of the work, along with pressure tactics that push subs toward settlements instead of full payment.
Eleven reviews appear in the record, ten at one star and one at five stars. Recurring points cover late finishes, unpaid accounts, poor execution and lack of organization on site. Google lists a 2.5 rating with no reviews attached to that score.

What Customers Say
“I am a vendor that has sold product to Oscar Renda Contracting for a large infrastructure job they performed in the Detroit area. They have not paid their bill for over 8 months at this point. I have left dozens of voicemail messages for them, but nobody calls me back. Pay your bills!!”
“They hire people that have stolen other people identity. They have a person working there that is using a social security number of my family member.... We live in Nc!!! We called to get information told them that it was happening, but they will not cooperate.”
“Very disorganized. As a subcontractor you can immediately tell they are a bottom dollar corporation. They contract out a lot of their onsite management (which usually results in people who weren't competent enough to be employed and advance within a company). Company employed management is very hands off and arrogant. They will hound you to exhaustion regarding performance (which they inhibit), invoicing and pay- to the point I imagine they're hoping you'll complete a large portion of your scope of work and then be willing to take a settlement to get out. If you're a sub contractor and can get work elsewhere, I would definitely advise you to do so.”
“The N. Alamo project is terrible. I was told by your staff on site in Oct. When this all start it would be completed by Dec or Jan. It's now April. Why do I pay city taxes for this nonsense? This should of been completed already! Seems like your staff is messing up and trying to fix their mistakes constantly pretty sad!”
“Have done a terrible job improving the Baltimore water supply and Druid Lake water supply. Recently caught dumping illegal levels of chlorinated water into the Jones Falls from the Druid Lake reservoir at nearby Druid Hill Park. Just cut down an entire park of old growth trees without testing soil.”
“Too bad this contractor can't be given a "zero" star rating. They have made a complete mess of Memorial Dr. for 4 yrs and counting! The City of Houston should be embarrassed.”
“Doesn't pay vendors. Gives the runaround. Would not advise selling to or buying from.”
“Had to report for fraudulently using social security number.”
“The quality of their work is very poor and beyond late”
“GREAT JOB OSCAR. WELL DONE!”
“Safety is NOT a priority with this company.”
