Power Shades Carports and Canopies LLC

Power Shades Carports and Canopies LLC handles foundation and concrete work in Laredo, Texas as a design-build outfit focused on custom metal and concrete structures. They take on carports, canopies, roofs and palapas for both homes and businesses, handling the concept, engineering steps, permits, fabrication and install from start to finish. Ruben Guerrero runs the show and brings in crews for the builds.

Homeowners call them when they need backyard shade canopies for remodels, carport extensions with added concrete, full roof installs over patios and RV covers. Ruben and the team turn those requests into finished structures that deliver steady shade and hold up under local weather. Crews named in reviews include Gustavo, Jose and Blanca, who handle the concrete bases and metal work that keep everything solid and level.

They move fast once the quote is set, often finishing installs in two or three days while staying in touch on the schedule and any changes. Reviewers note clean sites after the work, reasonable pricing compared to other local bids and crews that answer questions without delays. The operation stays local to Laredo with no mention of wider travel.

The reviews run mostly positive on the crews' speed, clear updates and the strength of the final builds, though one customer reported leaks on a gutter plus leftover debris and incomplete follow-up on a refund after paying upfront. Google shows a 4.9 rating.

“Do not pay the owner of this business in advance and double check his work before he leaves. We paid $2200 for a car port with one rain gutter and it started leaking immediately after I ran the water hose. I called Mr. Guerrero for the leaky gutter, beams that were not painted, sheets of metal that were not cut properly including metal shavings and screws that were left laying on my driveway. He sent a worker of his a week later to repaint, cut the metal sheets and volunteered to refund me $200 for the rain gutters and he never did. This isn't about the money, it's about making sure he doesn't do this to other people like he did to me.”
