D-Fence Customs - Fence Company Houston

D-Fence Customs runs as a construction company from Sugar Land, Texas. David leads the crew and they supply fences, gates, custom metal fabrication, access control systems, landscaping, and hardscaping for homes and businesses across the Houston area. The outfit lists concrete work among its categories and states over 40 years of experience handling outdoor projects from start to finish. They build wood, iron, and security fencing plus automatic driveway gates, pool enclosures, and related metal items like stairs and pipe rails.

Customers describe David and his team replacing fence sections, adding new gates for easier yard access, and repairing driveway gates that had wiring or battery issues. One job included replicating a custom courtyard railing ahead of schedule. Another covered refurbishing an old carport and garden gate with updated remotes. Reviewers note steel-framed gates with self-closing hinges, board-on-board privacy designs, stained cedar pickets, and pool fencing that passed inspections. Sam appears on some crews that handled final checks and customer walk-throughs.

The crew answers calls the same day in most cases and follows up on progress without prompting. They serve the greater Houston area, provide free estimates within a few days, and list 24/7 emergency repairs. Jobs finish on the dates promised, sites get cleaned each evening, and crews return quickly for any adjustments after installation. Materials include number-one cedar and full steel frames, with work described as timely and efficient even on larger installs.

“D-Fence does NOT deserve 5 stars—I would give them 10 stars if I could! Like other reviewers, I found David to be professional, responsive, and easy to work with. David and his team were able to replicate a custom railing for my courtyard, and they completed the installation much sooner than expected. Their workmanship, attention to detail, and professionalism throughout the entire process exceeded my expectations. I could not be happier with the finished product. I would not hesitate to recommend D-Fence and would definitely use them again for future projects!”

“When one side of my fence needed to be replaced, my neighbor, who shares that side of the fence with me, recommended David Lisner and the D-Fence team after they had recently replaced another section of his fence. I'm very glad he did. David and his team not only replaced and extended the fence but also installed a new gate, which has been a fantastic addition and provides much easier access to that side of my house. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are outstanding. The fence is beautiful, sturdy, and the gate is both secure and well-built. David was professional, responsive, and communicative throughout the entire process. He consistently followed up on the progress of the project and made sure I was satisfied with the work being completed. The crew arrived on time, worked efficiently, and completed the job without delays. The finished product has greatly improved both the security and curb appeal of my home. I highly recommend D-Fence Customs, David Lisner, and his team to anyone looking for reliable, high-quality fencing work. I would not hesitate to work with them again for future projects.”

“These guys are fantastic! David is a great communicator and manages your expectations along the process. They refurbished my 15 yo carport and garden gate. Upgraded the old remote box and remotes (boy did it need it!). His team is very detail and service oriented. I highly recommend them!”

“David and his team did an excellent job on my new fence. The gates have a full steel frame and are very sturdy. They have self closing hinges with a Locinix lock. I went with the board on board design ,which covers any gaps between the pickets, giving me total privacy. They installed steel posts and the fence is very straight and sturdy. As a finishing touch the fence was finished with Ready Seal Mahogany stain. I would definitely recommend D Fence Customs for a top quality fence with attention to detail.”

“The crew was excellent in both their work and their interactions with us, the customers. The fence looks great and the workmanship is beyond expectations. David and Sam insured we were satisfied with the finished project. Would easily recommend them.”

“This team was recommended to us by neighbors, and they did not disappoint. D-Fence did a fabulous job repairing our driveway gate and installing a new fence door. Great customer service, professional, and polite. We will be using them going forward for regular maintenance. Thank you!!”

“I’ve used D-Fence for almost 6 years now. They are a great company to work with. They installed my driveway gate, a side gate and a safety gate. They deliver high-quality work, in a timely and efficient manner. Their customer service is second to none. I always get a response the same day I contact them and usually it’s within a few minutes. They go above and beyond what is expected, and we all know how hard it is to find a company like that. When they installed my side gate, David noticed my driveway gate had been scratched up by my dog and he took it upon himself to repaint it. Just recently, I had a problem programming my gate to my new car and David sent someone the next day to do it. I can’t say enough good things about this company. I highly recommend this company.”

“I designed and David built a driveway gate which is fairly large about 7 1/2 years ago. The gate was built exactly to my design and has worked without any issues until recently. When the crew came out, which was very quick, they discovered the control board was showing a need for new backup batteries. After changing the batteries, the code showed a wiring problem. The crew wired from the opener to the gate operator directly and the board still showed a wiring problem. Next, they rebuilt the gate operator on site and again checked the board. The code now showed that the board was in need of replacement. This was confirmed with the manufacturer via the technician's line directly with the manufacturer. Next they got a new board and installed it. The code again showed a battery problem. David next sent over his, if all else fails trouble shooter. He confirmed that the new board was malfunctioning and replaced it with an even more universal board and the problem was solved. 3 weeks later the opener started to fail to open except with some assistance. Also, new to me the opener was beeping at each request for opening or closing. I contacted David and he quickly sent his hi”

“D-Fence and David's team were outstanding in every way and detail for our Trellis, Pool Gates and Yard fencing. Excellent upgrade and repair to our driveway gate, as well. David created a beautiful design and collaboration with our landscaper.”

“Huge shoutout to David for building an absolutely enchanting fence for my wife and me. From the moment it was finished, it completely transformed our space. The craftsmanship, attention to detail, and overall design are on another level—it’s not just a fence, it’s a statement piece. Honestly, his and his team’s craftsmanship is the best I’ve ever seen. You can tell David takes real pride in his work, and it shows in every inch. Our yard now feels more private, more polished, and just more us. We couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. If you’re looking for someone who delivers top-tier quality and truly brings your vision to life, David is the one. Highly recommend!”

“We had such a positive experience working with David and his team. David first came out to fix our metal side gate that had become detached from our brick house. While discussing that issue with him, I also mentioned that our front step had become detached from the rest of the stone landing. David and his crew were able to fix both issues and they look great! Communication was constant, the work was A+, and follow-up was smooth. We will definitely use David and his team again!”

“David and team installed our automatic and walk-in gate in 2020 and have been very responsive in our repair requests for the gate motor as well as minor updates to ground shifting for the walk-in gate. They’ve been professional and produce a great product. Would recommend them to anyone in the greater Houston area.”

“D-Fence Customs did an outstanding job replacing our old metal gate with a beautiful, modern design that completely transformed the look of our property. Their team was professional, punctual, and paid close attention to every detail throughout the project. The quality of workmanship is excellent, and the finished gate is both sturdy and stylish. I highly recommend D-Fence Customs to anyone looking for high-quality fencing and gate solutions in Houston.”

“David has done great work for us; from putting up a new stainless fence, an awning for our swim spa, and restoring our 50´s outdoor furniture.”

“D-fence was not the cheapest company that we looked at, but, their quality of work and professionalism so worth it. They use the best quality wood and #1 cedar pickets. They installed an 8 ft tall fence and a driveway swing gate. The work was done in a timely manner and they cleaned up after each days work. They also put up a metal pool fence that met all inspection and insurance guidelines. Their metal work and welding was excellent. Would recommend them in a heartbeat.”

“Excellent company. Very professional. Have had our gate for about 7 years now, anytime we have an issue david is quick to respond and send someone out to fix it. I have recommended him to other people i know too, worth every penny! Quality work and quality service !”

“D-fence customs is top notch for your fencing needs! I highly recommend David and his crew. Customer service and communication is a big key for me and David was on top of everything. I needed a double gate to be installed for a playground delivery. I had a specific day it needed to be done by and David and his crew knock it out of the park. They did such an amazing job I had them redo my walk thru gate also. Everything came out fantastic!! Thanks!!”

“Amazing company and even better work. One of the best experiences I’ve had dealing with any sort of contractor here in Houston. They did a thorough job and were very clean with the site(which I really liked). Couldn’t recommend them enough if you are needing any fence work!”

“David and his team were incredible to work with. From patience extended to me relating to timing of the project and design element changes, to consistent communication and management of expectations. Yes, the project is beautiful, completed on time and with competitive prices. Th customer experience was just as good. I highly recommend this company. I am kinda sad I won’t be able to work with him on this same project again, they did too good a job!”
