Garage Tec Automatic Gates & Garage Door Repair

Garage Tec Automatic Gates & Garage Door Repair handles garage door and gate work in Carrollton. The company takes on residential and commercial jobs including repairs, new installs, openers, springs, panel swaps, off-track fixes, and maintenance. They also cover driveway gates, swing and sliding gates, rolling steel doors, access control, and security gates. The business states it is locally owned and family operated with over thirty years in the trade and keeps an inventory of parts on hand for both homes and facilities across North and Central Texas.

Customers report quick fixes on broken springs, chains popping off gearboxes, doors that would not close, and gates that lost power or alignment. Joel has been called out late in the evening to secure a door and has handled spring replacements with discounts noted by several homeowners. Gadiel inspected an older door, gave an honest assessment that replacement made more sense, and finished the full install the next business day. Alex has reattached chains, walked through gate problems on site, and applied grease for free during visits. Hayden, Arthur, Luis, Victor, and Dani have been named for panel work, full door swaps, and gate repairs that were completed the same day the call came in.

Reviewers mention same-day or next-morning arrivals, with one truck on site within ninety minutes of a Sunday call. They note upfront quotes that stayed within budget, clear explanations of options, and no pressure to choose the most expensive fix. The company lists open hours seven days a week and states it serves both homes and businesses in the region. Several customers said technicians arrived with the right tools, finished without extra trips, and left the work area clean.

The listed reviews show mostly five-star feedback focused on speed, honest pricing, and technicians who explained the work. One review described repeated no-shows and poor follow-up from dispatch. Common points across the rest include fair quotes, same-day response, and technicians who completed repairs without surprises.

“I gave this company four chances and they failed every single time. Four scheduled appointments, zero show-ups. Each time, technician Daris claimed he was reassigned to more "urgent" jobs — apparently my repairs never qualified. When I finally called dispatch to request a new technician, Daris somehow called to say he could arrive within the hour. I declined since I had already been rescheduled with someone new. That didn't stop him from canceling my Monday appointment without so much as a heads-up. Communication and accountability are serious problems here. No one takes ownership, and the left hand clearly doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Waste your time at your own risk.”

“Hayden and Alex came out to look at my duel panel gate. The chain was popping off the gear box. Diagnosed and repaired the same day. Both were professional and polite and answered all questions.”
