“At 7:55 a.m. on a Thursday before a holiday weekend, my garage door suddenly came off track, and I couldn’t get it back into place myself. I called Overhead Door Company of Dallas right when they opened at 8:00 a.m., and Witt immediately treated my situation with urgency and dispatched Manny to my home. Manny arrived promptly and was confident, professional, knowledgeable, and honest. After thoroughly assessing the problem, he clearly explained what was wrong and had my garage door repaired within 20 minutes, without needing to order any parts. Everything was fixed using his expertise, tools, and hands-on skill, which I truly appreciated. He also took the time to provide helpful maintenance tips, showing me exactly how to lubricate my garage door, what lubricant to buy, and how often to use it. In addition, he recommended installing a surge protector for the garage door opener and explained why it would be beneficial. The service fee was very reasonable and competitively priced, and I was happy to pay it. Thanks to Manny and Overhead Door Company of Dallas, my garage door was fully repaired well before lunchtime. That’s outstanding service, and I will definitely use them again f”

“Our garage door, which was last serviced a year and a half ago, started to make noise and its motion was choppy. We decided to be proactive and have it checked out before something broke. I called two days ago and scheduled service for yesterday. The quoted price for the service call seemed a little high but when I asked, I was told that the company offers discounts for military and seniors which put the price where I expected it to be. Edgar arrived on time. He was professional and friendly. His vehicle was clean. He got right to work examining the door. It took him about 10-15 minutes to lubricate the various parts and tighten the screws. He also checked and adjusted where the motor stopped when the door closed. I was happy with Edgar. I was happy with the service he provided. I was even more happy when he gave me the bill with a reduced price because he said it was a "minor" service.”

“The best service in an emergency situation. On Sunday morning the garage door would not open. I called Overhead Dallas/Carrollton, Clint returned my call immediately, and a technician was on his way within an hour. Edgar repaired the broken spring and made a number of small repairs on the rest of the garage opening system, making sure everything was working perfectly. We have used Overhead Door for many years, and their service has always been quick, professional, and thorough. Many thanks again to Edgar.”

“My garage door broke, let’s be honest here, I backed up into it before it was fully up 😳, and it wouldn’t open all the west or shut all the way and I needed it fixed quick. They responded to my phone call quickly and had a technician out shortly after that. He was extremely helpful and honest and was able to replace two metal cross bars, reattach all the wood and get it back on tracks and running within the hour! So friendly and knowledgeable. Other places were trying to make me buy a whole new garage door for thousands of dollars, but they were able to replace and fix what was broken for less than $400. Honest, dependable, knowledgeable and trustworthy would be how I describe them! Just great!”

Same technician came out and set up the new remote, and reprogrammed 2 old remotes. He set up my new car to be able to open/close both doors. We decided to install a control box out side the garage. “I called for a broken spring for my 16-year-old wooden double door and Christian, the technician showed up at my house in less than 2 hours after I called. He told me the cost upfront. “One of the springs for my overhead garage door broke (40 yrs old!) so I called Overhead Door company in Dallas which I’ve used several times and have always been satisfied. The technician Geri, assigned to my job called me and explained to me what I needed to do if I wanted to try to open the garage door until he got there. “Terrible Experience - Avoid Overhead Door Company at All Costs! Overhead Door Company installed the garage door on my new home for the builder, and the entire installation has been a nightmare. Despite being a brand-new home with a brand-new garage door, they completely botched the installation. The spring system doesn’t work, and the door cannot open or close smoothly. I have to manually force it open and closed with my hands, and it makes loud, alarming noises. I’ve called their service department hundreds of times, but my calls always go to voicemail, and no one ever calls back. It’s like they’ve completely ghosted me. Overhead Garage is a total scam—they take no responsibility for their shoddy work and ignore their customers entirely. Save yourself the frustration and avoid Overhead Door at all costs. They deserve every bit of this bad review.”

“Door quality was good. The installation was poor. Originally required a follow up due to sloppy installation. One year later the main bracket is hanging off because it was screwed into drywall only. Dangerous and hanging over my cars. Who would do that? They had to know when they screwed those into the wall there was nothing but drywall. Tried to call but couldn’t get through. Fixed it myself and right this time! Hard to believe. Updated on 9/24 - I have yet to receive a call back from Overhead Door despite leaving multiple messages. I spent over $2k on this door. Look at the quality of work their installers do. I would not have slammed them if they at least made an attempt to correct. But they elected to ignore their customer. Update: The owner did follow up with me and sent someone out to check my repairs and tighten things etc.”
