Veteran Garage Door Repair

Veteran Garage Door Repair handles garage door work from its base in Carrollton, Texas. The company takes calls at 469-200-1140 and states it charges no trip fee for service visits. Reviewers describe the outfit as organized and ready to handle repairs on springs, openers, rollers, and sensors as well as full door and opener installs. Technicians named in the feedback include Jacob, Justin, Oscar, Zack, Martin, Jesse, DeMarcus, Ulysses, John, and Zach.

Homeowners mention spring replacements that restored smooth operation, same-day fixes on broken carports, and tune-ups that included greasing moving parts. Several noted the crew chose repair over full replacement when that saved money, and others said the techs gave clear options before starting work. A few reviews point out that one visit left the remotes unprogrammed until the next morning and another charged for clearing sensors that could have been handled without a call.

Feedback shows response times often measured in hours rather than days, with same-day arrivals common and work finished in under an hour on straightforward jobs. Reviewers describe the pricing as reasonable and the communication as direct, with technicians explaining steps on site. The listed address sits in Carrollton and the calls come from that local area.

The posted Google rating stands at 4.9 across the collected reviews, with most comments praising the speed, courtesy, and results on both simple fixes and larger installs. A small number of lower scores mention follow-up visits or charges for minor sensor work.

“I would have given 5 stars, but the installer forgot to program the remotes and keypad before he left. He said he couldn’t be back until 7:45 am the next day. I had to drive back to a house I haven’t even moved in to yet at 7 in the morning in a thunderstorm so he could correct the mistake. Would have been satisfied if they just gave me a discount to make up for it.”

“Justin was awesome! This is the second time I've used their service and they are prompt not salesy they do an amazing job at a fair price”

“VGDR repaired my Garage door… and I couldn't”t be more satisfied.. I had two estimates prior and both wanted to replace my entire garage door.VGDR repaired it (rather than replacing it), and it works perfectly… saving me quite a bit of money. The Tech was courteous and friendly… explaining exactly what he was going to do before he did it. Thank you VGDR John H”

“My technician's name was Zack. He inspected my garage door and a quote for maintenance was promptly sent over. He was professional and knowledgeable. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend this company. Thank you for your service”

“They were quick to answer and come by the house. I wish I showed up with my husband when they first came by because they require you to agree to the payment before they even look at the problem. You want to know what our problem was, it was that cobwebs were blocking the sensors. That's its. All for him to clear it up a bit (which we could have done ourselves) yet they charged us $125. Out of the kindness of my heart I would have not charged a thing for something like that. Maybe they needed money really bad. But to be honest it was pretty ridiculous.”

“Martin was the epitome of a seasoned, veteran garage door installer. It was almost freezing in my garage this morning, but he was not affected at all. A real trooper. Thanks for hiring a professional!”

“The help I received was excellent and speedy. When our carport broke, they sent someone to fix it within an hour. The expert did a great job and told us everything we needed to know to cure our carport. We were delighted that we didn't have to get a whole new carport. Very skillful and reasonable. I'm happy to recommend veteran garage door repair if you need help fixing your garage door.”

“Jesse is polite, professional, and was very helpful with repairing a broken spring and troubleshooting door issues. Great price & service, and I will only call these guys if anything comes up Garage-Door related. Thank you!”

“After a very disappointing experience with a competitor who shall remain nameless yesterday, Jessie and DeMarcus showed up today and in 45 minutes completely sorted our two-car garage door with new springs and rollers and also tune-up and greased up every single moving part to perfection. Bottom line, they were not only courteous and professional, but they were very expedient and I could not be more pleased. In addition to all the aforementioned factors, they also saved me $1,400 (yes, that is NOT a typo) over what this 'reputable' competitor was attempting to charge me with all manner of hard/pressure sales tactics. Goodbye scammers, hello solid, honest businesses. I recommend the team at Veteran Garage Door Repair for all your garage door needs without reservation. I wish more businesses were run in this professional manner AND with such an emphasis on customer service and satisfaction. Job Done. Thank you!”
