About

Yes Doors handles garage door installation, opener work and repairs from its base in Mesquite, Texas. The family owned operation, established in 2012, states more than thirty years of experience and lists itself as fully insured. It advertises twenty four hour emergency response and covers Garland plus Dallas County, Collin County and Rockwall County.

Reviewers describe service calls that often began with a low advertised tune up price yet ended with recommendations for far larger repairs. Several noted technicians arrived, applied grease or oil to hinges and springs, then departed after brief visits. Others recounted no shows for scheduled installs, later arrivals that stretched into evening hours, and follow up visits where prior work failed within weeks. Positive accounts centered on one technician named Ben, who replaced torsion springs in under an hour, restored remotes after cables snapped, and replaced a capacitor for a modest fee. Additional mentions include a technician named Kaulana who performed a short inspection and a supervisor named Brenda who handled rescheduling disputes.

Customers reported inconsistent arrival times, with some jobs completed promptly and others delayed by hours or canceled without notice. Communication occurred mainly by phone, sometimes resulting in price adjustments offered after complaints or arguments over appointment windows. Pricing drew frequent comment, with charges for basic visits ranging from sixty dollars upward and full opener replacements quoted above one thousand dollars. Service stayed within the counties listed on the company site and included emergency availability.

The business holds a Google rating of 3.3 from forty four reviews. Recurring topics include technician performance differences, charges relative to work completed, and scheduling reliability.

What Customers Say

“they came in for a "service". tech got there - said everything is good - did not check anything- just talked - put some grease and he was out. told me if I use my garage door alot -- it will start giving me issues! extremely disapointed”

“After discussing my needs over the phone, and winch everything was fine except I found the price is a little high, that’s when everything and I mean everything went wrong. Scheduled for 9 AM to 12 noon appointment install a new garage door. No call no-show so I attempted to contact the company and was told I was still on the schedule at 4 PM. I called to tell them that I was done and was sent over to the district manager, who was very nice over the phone explained that the issue was all their fault and offered me a small discount off Garage door. The installers came at about 445 and finished at close to 7 PM. My entire day was completely wasted with some tasks being fairly important to complete and of course did not get complete. The following day, I opened my garage to take out some trash and went to close it and the door refused to move. I contacted the company And asked to speak to the district manager who, of course, was not available. I then asked to speak to the salesman that I spoke to and believe it or not when they routed my call They transferred me to some unknown household, who had no idea who I was asking To speak with. I then contacted the salesman directly and was t”

Renee Sheffa

“YES GARAGE DOOR SERVICES, LLC technician (KAULANA) charged a service fee just to tell me not to use WD 40 on my chain.. That is all...he looked, said a few words, took my che k and left. SHAM!”

Sharon Pinkerton

“Horrible service they are scammers I got my garage fixed 2 months ago spent $447. I was told a warranty on it 2 months later garage not working again I called to schedule appointment was for 9am the next business day they called me after the time they should be here to ask for 2pm-5pm. Then a RUDE supervisor name Brenda called want to argue about the time because they are behind and was very RUDE. I will not recommend them every scammers I will be reporting to better business bureau very unprofessional company. They also canceled my appointment without my knowledge I called to cancel and was told it was already canceled.”

“The only thing they did ok at was showing up on time. Then Carlos proceeded to install a less capable, noisier lift and screwed up our wall where the button is installed. So for about $2k later we are not happy. Did the company ever call? No.”

Steve C

“I do not recommend using this company! Clicked an ad on Facebook for $59 to do a simple tuneup and the technician basically tried to price gouge and upsell to $1500 worth of service!! Mind you the garage door is working fine. Seeing all the other bad reviews… seems like this is their business model. Terrible”

My House (Mr. Find my Home)

“Door hasn't worked properly since it was serviced- no evening or Saturday appointments to repair the problem so will have to start over & pay another service to fix the problem since I work throughthe week- very disappointed in this service.”

Darcey Spalding

“This company shows up on time. The job took 30 minutes. I was charged $1367.38 for the job. They overcharged me by $350 when I received an estimate from another garage door company. When I confronted them, the lady was not at all sympathetic nor did they assert that they "were the cheapest" as their ad states. They refused to match another company's estimate that I called because I felt that the fee was exorbitant. Also, I was informed that the 3 days that I had to refute the contract as stated in the contract, did not apply to this job. They will never get my business again.”

Gerald Ahmann

“I bought a Groupon for an annual tune up on my garage door. They came out 2 days later. Ben was very professional, friendly, and helpful. He helped me get my keypad working again for a nominal fee. I was very pleased with the scheduling and service.”

Sheila Sherman

“This is the best garage door repair service I've found in the DFW area. Ben, the only technician, is timely, responsive, efficient and extremely knowledgeable. He knows the differences between the different models, and can finish a job quickly. I highly recommend Yes Doors. There is a different company named Yes GARAGE Doors that is not the subject of my review. When you call, ask the name of the technician. If it is not Ben, it is not this great company.”

Wes Musselman

“Yes Doors is very reasonable in price. The technician is very polite and very knowledgeable. They arrive on time and do a great job. I highly recommend everyone to use them they are truly great. Been maintaining my garage door now for 5 years.”

Lillian Landry

“Ben, came out and Did a Fantastic job---Very efficient, productive and reasonable in price---Others were charging more-But Ben, with Yes Doors was fair and did Great work-Highly recommended! My door was off the hinges and cable snapped -He took about 90 minutes and got the door and all the remotes working properly--He told me the capacitor was bad, (Where others were wanting to charge me for Circuit board) and charged $35.00 to replace it”

Thomas Holthaus

“The tech came. My sensors were not working. Simply the wire was insulated and just needed stripping. Charged me extra over the groupon service coupon. And worse he did not have any grease on him to grease the doors. I had some silicon spray. . And then try to upsell other services”

Eric Solomon

“My torsion spring popped one afternoon. I called Yes Doors, and they were out the next morning. Ben showed up right on time and had the springs replaced in less than an hour. He charged me a more than fair price! I would highly recommend Yes Doors for any garage door service!! Chad F.”

Kenny Gosh

“We were very disappointed that we paid $213.99 to confirm what we knew, which is we need a new garage door opener. When I asked if the $213.99 would be taken off the estimate to replace it, I was told no. Then we were given a quote of $1,295 plus installation of $250 or $260. We ordered the exact garage door opener off Amazon for $607 and got a quote of $225 to install it, but still paid $213.99 for nothing. You can do better.”

Darrin Hamblin

“I've used Yes Doors for years on all our projects needing garage door repairs and new installation. Ben is always responsive and consistently does a great job. I never have to worry about the quality of the work that I'll receive. Thanks Ben for all you do for us here at Atlas.”

Keith Carper

“Yes Doors has always come to my rescue! Whether it was as simple as my light going out, to needing a whole new motor, they have always shown up prompt and with the friendliest faces and attitudes. We use them time and time again and will continue to use them in the future for any of our garage needs. We love the small, family-based companies here at my house!”

Sam Dye

“Always prompt for service. Very knowledgeable. Completes repairs and service in a reasonable amount of time. Very reasonable prices for all services. They installed 2 new garage door openers. They helped me find the most reasonable cost. They also perform my annual service on my doors and openers. I would definitely give them 10 Gold Stars if that rating would be available.”

John Rieff

“Terrible and price gouging company … the price they charge is astronomical. Please stay away from this company. Eye site that cost $40 they will charge $200. “Tune up” where they tighten your chain by spinning a 10mm bolt will cost $120. STAY AWAY AT ALL COST. Rip off of a company”
