“I had a really frustrating experience with Overhead Door Company of Permian Basin and would strongly caution others before using them. They came out to look at a garage door opener on a remodel project I’m managing. Without doing even the most basic troubleshooting, they immediately claimed the opener was broken and needed to be replaced. No testing, no verification, just straight to recommending a full replacement. Come to find out later, the issue was simply that the breaker was flipped and the unit had no power. That’s it. The opener worked perfectly fine. Any competent service technician should have checked for power first. At minimum, they could have tested it with an extension cord or verified the circuit before jumping to conclusions. Instead, they tried to sell me a completely unnecessary replacement. In the end, my handyman spent a few minutes diagnosing it properly and solved the issue instantly. Meanwhile, I got charged $50 for a service call where they essentially did nothing but make an incorrect assessment and leave. It felt careless at best and misleading at worst. Definitely not the level of professionalism I expect when bringing in a service provider. Would n”

“Called and set up a service call for the next morning. Eddie called and was 15 minutes out. He got here, accessed the problem, changed the parts needed while explaining exactly what had occurred. Here and gone in maybe an hour or so. He probably could have finished faster if I hadn't kept getting in his way trying to "help." And even listened to my war stories while working away. I highly appreciate and commend Eddie on his work. Plus the cost was way below what I was expecting.”

“The only reason I don’t rate them higher is because of their customer service, both the Midland and Odessa receptionist were rude in my opinion. One tried transferring me and disconnected the call. Called back and got to another representative who was super short and not very helpful. When I called to pay my invoice I was placed on a LONG hold with no call back! Other than that, the installers were courtesy, fast and friendly!”

“Horrible customer service, ignored when I tried to explain what had happened, then insinuated that I had slammed the door on something causing the issue. I never use the garage to begin with, and the home is my friends home, which I was watching while he was in the hospital and this was something he told me he wanted done while he was gone. Regardless of the matter, don't insinuate that I was lying or was the cause of the problem when your service tech knows nothing of the matter and is payed to perform a service not give me his opinion on how it broke, who he thinks is at fault, just fix it, I never asked how it got damaged. Also when the paying customer is talking to you maybe at the very least acknowledge them. They fixed the garage door I'll give them that, but the customer service was lacking severely. If this would have been my personal home I would have told them to get lost and payed another company that is willing to be polite. UPDATE: the garage door ended up breaking again less than a week later, making me wonder if they actually fixed the 1st time. Though the tech they sent out was much more polite and seems to have solved the issue and given us more info why it happene”

“I called them several times. the first time i setup the appointment, it never came through in their system, technician didn't show up. i called them a second time, we setup the appointment, the technician called me and mentioned he had issues with his truck, he would call back, and yes, he called me at 7 pm. third try to setup an appointment, the mean lady on the phone blamed me for the failed second attempt and left me waiting on line. I called back, i only got the messaging option. My recommendation, don't waste your time with them. Awful customer service”

“I had a family member recommend this company to me to get a garage door replaced, after I called the company it took a couple of days for someone to come out and see what the issue is, which was fine. It took the better part of a week and a half making several phone calls to get the estimate sent. After receiving the estimate, I had let them know that I wanted to proceed. They told me it would take two weeks to get the door made and then they would call to schedule an appointment. Here it is two months later, and I am still waiting. Every time that I call to ask about it, I am told that the door is there and that only the manager can schedule the appointment and that I will receive a call that day. After a dozen calls and no response, I have decided to call them and tell them that I am canceling my order with them. I would not ever recommend this company to anyone and the customer service is by far the worst that I have ever seen.”

This is an honest company. Everything is expensive today, but these people are reasonable in their charges. They charge a fair price and stand behind their work and their materials. Good company! “TERRIBLE SERVICE! We called them days ago to come and fix our garage that we have been having trouble with at our home. The lady at the front desk assured us that someone would be by our house that day and would give us a call prior to coming because they could not give a scheduled time frame for when they would be there. I informed the lady that it was very important for them to call us before to make sure that we were there before they came. Well the day went by and no one ever came and we gave them a call back and she told us that someone should be there the next day. No one ever came again and when we called, she assured us that someone would be there that morning, and I informed her that if no one planned to show up, since we had been waiting days for them to, then to let us know, and that we would look elsewhere. After waiting almost 3 DAYS, we received a call from one of their workers named Eddie. Eddie called at 4:30 p.m. and informed us that he would come by our home, but I let Eddie know that we were not there and that we would be home by 5 p.m.. Eddie told us that he was tired and that he had been working since 7 a.m. that morning and that he only planned to work on our ”

“We purchased 6 OH Roll Up doors for our shop. They were not installed correctly (bracing on the tracks) causing the doors to get out of alignment, rollers to come off, and not function properly. “We used Overhead Doors to install the original doors on our home when it was built 17 years ago. The doors operated perfectly since day one. When we learned that installing insulated garage doors would cut down significantly on our heating and cooling bills, we replaced the original doors with insulated doors. Not to mention the fact that with the new insulated doors, our garage and home stay much cooler in the summer and much warmer it stays in the winter. “Garage door got caught and bent up the track late one evening. Filled out the form for a service request on Overhead Door's website. Service tech arrived the next morning, looked it over, and said we didn't need to replace anything and he'd be back in the afternoon to do the work after I moved some of my stuff out of the way. Returned at the set time, and in under an hour had the door back on track, the damaged track bent back into shape, and everything lubricated and running smoother than it has for years. He didn't try to upsell anything, but gave me a reasonable quote for a new motor when I asked for one.”
