Overhead Door Solutions

Overhead Door Solutions handles garage door repair, opener work, torsion spring replacement, and new door installs out of Richmond, Texas. Keith runs the operation and takes most of the service calls, though Mike has stepped in on repairs too. The company stays local and works with homeowners who need fixes on existing doors or full replacements when the old setup fails.

Homeowners call when springs snap and trap cars inside, when openers quit after years of use, or when a big box install leaves the door unbalanced and noisy. Keith has diagnosed problems on the spot, swapped in jack shaft openers that run smoother than old basic units, replaced broken springs so doors sit level again, and put in new WiFi openers that customers can run from their phones. One job involved fixing a botched opener install from another outfit, and another had him matching paint and finishing details on a door after the main repair.

They answer the phone directly, set appointments the same day in many cases, text quotes with photos when asked, and send updates on arrival times. Reviewers note fair prices with no push to add extra work, clear explanations of options, and cleanup once the job ends. The outfit covers Richmond plus spots like West Houston and Katy, with Keith often squeezing in urgent calls and finishing installs within a day or two of the first contact.

Reviewers keep coming back to the same points: straight talk, solid work that lasts, and no pressure sales. The company holds a 5 rating from 219 reviews on Google. DIRT Score 4.9 from 219 reviews on Finds.

“I found Overhead Door Solutions online and liked that they are a local company. They were great in coming out quickly, communicated easily and listened to what I wanted. I got a “jack shaft” opener which is head and shoulders better than the 14 year old basic opener I had before. The install was exactly as described and the price was great. They also installed new springs so my garage door is actually balanced now. Great experience and definitely recommend.”

He came out the same day I contacted him to give me a quote, and it was a very fair price for the amount of work he did. He handled everything from top to bottom, including matching and purchasing the paint himself. The attention to detail was spot on. The turnaround time was quick, and the quality of the work? I absolutely love it. You don’t get service like this often. I highly recommend!”

From the start, he took the time to consult with me on the design of my garage door, ordered exactly what I needed, and handled the installation seamlessly along with my garage door opener. It’s been about 18 months since the installation, and everything has been working flawlessly with only one minor hiccup along the way few days after install, which he addressed quickly and professionally. Its been perfect sincw then. His workmanship is outstanding, his pricing is fair, and his attention to detail really shows. “Keith was not only fair but honest with his inspection and pricing estimate. He was the 3rd company I called when dealing with our garage door breakdown. Each conversation was different and he was very willing to educate me on what I was dealing with not just the mechanics of the job but why costs can vary. Didn’t make me feel ignorant or taken advantage of like the others. His communication was on point when he told me he was on his way and how long it would take when he got there. Our conversation throughout the job felt like I knew him for years. Great guy. Great work. Totally recommend!”

“Keith is great! Very old ( Sears!!) opener stopped working yesterday, when I could not solve it, did a Google Maps search found Keith’s firm was nearby with great reviews. Called him, he squeezed me in that day. He quickly saw that the old plastic parts could not be salvaged and indicated a repair kit was approaching cost of a new head unit. I chose to go new and next day he was back with the new opener and installed within 24 hours from my first call. If I have any other issues with my garage door setup, I know who to call.
