Hoss Roofing & General Contracting

Hoss Roofing & General Contracting handles gutter work out of McKinney, Texas. Jestin runs the outfit and they take on gutter jobs as part of their broader contracting services that also cover siding, roofing, and exterior fixes. The crew works on residential properties and handles both new installs and repairs when damage shows up from storms or age. They keep one main point of contact so homeowners deal with the same team from the first call through the final walkthrough.

Customers have brought them in for gutter repairs tied to storm damage, painting existing gutters and trim to freshen up the look, and full gutter replacements during larger exterior jobs that also touched siding and doors. Jestin and his crew replaced rotted sections, matched new work to the rest of the house, and finished the gutter portions ahead of schedule while staying on the original budget. In several cases they lined up the gutter work with fence, porch, and roof fixes so everything wrapped in a couple of weeks without the homeowner chasing separate crews.

The team shows up on the day they promise, keeps the site clean each afternoon, and sends daily updates on progress and any insurance paperwork. Pricing has come in under what homeowners expected, communication stays direct, and they handle claim details so the owner does not have to. Jobs stay in the McKinney area with the same crew returning for small tweaks until the work meets their standards.

Reviewers give the company top marks for finishing on time, keeping costs in line, and delivering clean results on gutter and related exterior repairs. Common notes include daily check-ins from Jestin, crews that respect the property, and solid follow-through on insurance items. DIRT Score 4.9 from 173 reviews on Finds.

“Hoss Roofing did an amazing job transforming my home! They handled a range of interior repairs, including painting and removing outdated fur downs, and even raised my ceilings to create a more spacious, modern feel. “We needed our fireplace repaired. (cracks) so we decided to put a larger box in, different stone and a different mantle, near hearth, plus paint the 20" wall a different color. We had a marble surround and changed to stacked stone with a slate hearth. Jestin and his crew did an amazing job. Stayed on budget. Straightened up avery day, and finished ahead of schedule. The completed job is even better than expected. Jestin kept us updated daily. Will certainly use them again for any kind of reno, updates etc...”

“We hired Jestin to remodel our entire kitchen, paint the interior of our house, and replace our floors. Not only was Jestin extremely warm and friendly, but he also helped make the process of a remodel SO EASY. He brought my vision to life, and I had the most enjoyable experience possible. His guys showed up when they were supposed to, he was also always on time, he has great communication, and he followed through on the timeline he gave me perfectly. My house turned out beautiful, and any tiny issue that arose during the process was fixed timely and to my liking! I could not recommend someone more!”

“Jestin was a pleasure to work with. It’s always a little nerve wracking hiring a contractor but his team puts your mind at ease from the beginning. The job is not finished until it meets his high standards and sometimes that was things we did not even notice ourselves which shows a high level of integrity on their part. All of the work turned out great and we look forward to having more projects done in the future with the Hoss team.”

“Jestin and his team did a great job with storm damage repairs at our house. Everyone was very professional and friendly. I really appreciated the fact that all work was lined up in a way to get everything completed within 2 weeks - fence, siding, front porch columns, roof, gutters, new front door. We didn't have to worry about anything. They also handled all the insurance issues which was greatly appreciated!! I would highly recommend Hoss Roofing - our house looks awesome!!”

“Hoss Roofing painted our house trim and gutters, refurbished our front door, repaired our fireplace, sealed the cracks around our windows and installed outdoor flood lights. Their work was done timely and on budget. We were very happy with their service and follow through and we highly recommend them. We will definitely use them for our future contracting needs.”

“Jestin Ross and the Hoss Roofing team did a great job on house to repair long overdue hail damage. Jestin worked with our insurance to get our outstanding claim work completed, despite us waiting to long to get the work done, lesson learned. Jestin did everything by the book and worked with us to get us everything we needed, even with things that were not covered in the claim that were additional items we wanted to get taken care of. They took care of our roof replacement and hail repairs to the house. They also painted the whole house and I would highly recommend them if you're looking for someone to do the work right. I'll definitely use their services again.”

“We had Hoss handle repairs after a storm hit our home, including a full roof replacement. Jestin kept in communication with me and provided clear and knowledgeable status updates and project information so we knew what to expect. Plus, Jestin made dealing with the insurance less stressful, helping us through the process. I definitely would recommend him to others.”

“Jestin and his team are amazing, we absolutely recommend them and have already even passed their name to some nearby friends looking for a contractor. They helped us navigate through the homeowners insurance process of getting our roof repaired after a storm left us with hail damage earlier this year. In addition, they also did an amazing job refinishing our front door and repairing our fence as well as multiple smaller renovation jobs inside the house. All this while pushing through our demanding timeline as we were in a hurry to sell the house. Thank you!”

“We had a great experience with this roofing company. They updated and repaired our porch and patio, repaired our garage door, and painted the trim on our house. The communication was excellent, the work was done professionally, and everything turned out great! It’s clear they take pride their work and in customer service. Highly recommend!”

“We had Hoss replace an old slider in our kitchen with a large window and new patio door. They were able to fit us in quickly, communicated well throughout the project, and everybody was so kind and respectful. They kept the rest of our kitchen sealed off so no dust would get in and my toddler loved playing peekaboo with them - they were great with her! I would definitely use Hoss again when we need work done and highly recommend them to anybody else looking for a contractor.”

“We were referred to Jestin by a very good friend who had used his company’s services numerous times in the past. We live in Tucker Hill and our home has a large porch. We had several post and railings that needed to be replaced and repainted. While his crew was here we asked them to repaint our dormers and a bedroom wall after they removed a wall mounted TV. The work was professionally done and completed in a timely manner. We would definitely call Jestin again.”

“Based on several testimonials from our friends and neighbors, we asked Mr. Ross to look at our leaking roof. We had high expectations going in, and in every phase of the project these were exceeded. Excellent advice, communication and honest assessment led us to hire him for window, siding, gutter and garage door projects. All superior results. Would not hesitate to recommend!”

“I’ve used Jestin twice and both times the service has been amazing. The first time was to replace a few roof shingles after another company said my entire roof should be replaced. And the second time was after siding to my house got damaged during a storm. He’s very responsive and communicates really well. He was able to get someone out on both occasions in a timely manner. His guys showed up on time and were very honest about their findings/recommendations. No issues with the work done. Hands down recommend!”

“Hoss Roofing replaced 4 cedar posts on my front porch and 1 on my back patio in September 2025. The existing posts and base trim were rotting on the bottom but the attached railings were fine. Hoss Roofing detached the railings, replaced the rotted cedar posts and re-trimmed the bases, reattached the railings and stained everything to match. They also replaced mortar missing between bricks over my garage and re-sealed the flashing. The team was courteous, on time, and cleaned up. Jestin routinely checked on the work and would have his team back to tweak and adjust in order to get everything perfect. It's been a few months now and everything is looking great. This team was great to work with and I would not hesitate to hire them again.”

“Prompt, professional, courteous service at a great price. I had leak develop in my roof and Hoss Roofing prioritized getting the leak evaluated and repaired before more rainfall could do additional damage. I was very pleased with their professionalism and results.”

“Hoss Roofing has far exceeded my expectations. I'm extremely pleased with not only the dedication to superior workmanship but Jestin's commitment to courtesy and professionalism. Throughout the entire process, he kept me updated on progress and delivered everything as promised. His team is knowledgeable, efficient and a pleasure to work with.”
