Custom Carpentry & Construction, LLC

Custom Carpentry & Construction, LLC takes on handyman work in Corpus Christi. Jonathan Carvajal runs the company and handles complete renovations along with custom cabinets, granite counters, custom showers, mouldings, tile, laminate floors, decks and custom tables. The business also covers driveway work, staircases, window installs, roofing, sheetrock and general repairs. Jonathan works with his dad and a small crew on these projects.

Homeowners have described Jonathan and his dad rebuilding a guest bathroom with solid results. He built a screen porch that stayed clean during the job. Kitchens received new granite tops cut and set in place after old Formica came out, walls got textured and painted, and cabinets were refinished. He installed fences and gates without disturbing landscaping, repaired broken cabinets and misaligned doors, added a rainwater gutter, fixed drywall, handled garage work, rebuilt kitchen lighting and turned an old piano into a desk. Chris and Ismael helped on some installs and stayed late to finish small punch items.

Jonathan keeps customers informed about his schedule and listens when they raise concerns. He finishes jobs faster than some expected while staying within budget and gives honest advice on simple fixes owners can try first before calling in help. The crew works fast, keeps sites tidy and stays polite on the job. All of this happens in the Corpus Christi area with word-of-mouth jobs making up most of the schedule.

Stayed late to knock the small punch items that were created from one of the walls being out of plum and a minor slope to the floor. Chris and Ismael were very polite and respectful around us. Already talking to Jonathan about the next project!”

“JONATHAN CAME BY TO GIVE US SOME ALTERNATIVE OPTIONS TO A WATER INFILTRATION ISSUE WE WERE HAVING. HE DEFINITELY WAS NOT PUSHING AN EXPENSIVE FIX WITHOUT ADVISING ON SOME SIMPLE REMEDIES FOR US TO TRY ON OUR OWN. WE APPRECIATED THE HONESTY. WHILE HE WAS HERE, I ASKED HIM FOR SOME OTHER MISCELLANEOUS HOUSE FIXES, SOME OF WHICH HE NOTED WERE EASY FIXES ON OUR OWN, AND OTHERS WHERE WE DECIDED IT WOULD BE MORE EFFICIENT TO HIRE HIS SERVICES AND EXPERTISE. SOME FOLKS TRY TO PUSH HIGH DOLLAR SERVICES. HE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND HAD THE HEART OF A TEACHER. WE WILL DEFINITELY REACH OUT TO HIM FOR REPAIRS IN THE NEAR FUTURE.”

“Jonathan did great job in our garage.”

“So happy with the work done with reconstructing the lighting in my kitchen! THANK YOU!”

“I am blown away by John’s work!!! He turned our beloved 70-year-old mahogany piano into a gorgeous desk! He perfectly made my vision a reality that I will treasure!”
