This type of honesty is not common in this industry as evidenced by the GC side of things and we appreciate Ms. Fisher for being so upfront and honest about our problem when we didn't have many places to turn for answers and will be happy to retain her if the city does require something contrary to our understanding.”

“★☆☆☆☆ My widowed mother paid 708 Studios a $2,750 retainer for design services after a house fire displaced our entire family. Our contractor led us to believe the home was a total loss and needed to be rebuilt. After eight months, we learned that our insurance company considered the home repairable instead. Because we are proceeding with repairs, we can no longer use 708 Studios’ services. Holly provided a floor plan six months later, only after I called her about it. She had never consulted with my mother about her needs. The layout placed a room where it would block vehicle access through the carport to the backyard—a change that was never discussed with us. Even if we were rebuilding, that layout would not have worked for our family. We requested termination of the contract and a refund of the retainer. Holly verbally told me she would issue a refund, but she subsequently stopped responding. Our written requests have also gone unanswered, and as of this review, we have not received the $2,750 refund. Our family has endured a year of displacement and stress following the fire. Being told a refund would be issued and then receiving no further response has been deeply frustrat”
