“After meeting with him, I didn’t feel he had the level of experience or preparation needed for the scope of work I was requesting. He had taken the time to thoroughly review the project beforehand, and said he hadn't, which made it difficult to discuss solutions for the items that needed to be addressed. I received several bids, and compared to the others who evaluated the work, he did not seem as confident or knowledgeable about completing all of the repairs. He also mentioned that he wouldn’t be able to handle some of the items, whereas the other contractors indicated they could take care of the full list. Another concern for me was that he was uninsured. For a project of this size, having proper insurance is important in case something goes wrong. Ultimately, I didn’t feel comfortable taking that risk, so I decided to move forward with another option.”

Not only is he very good at just about everything he does, he is punctual, tidy in cleaning up after himself, very courteous, efficient in his work, but reasonably priced and trustworthy. He has done work in our home around our children and never once have I had a doubt that he could do what he said he could or that there would be any quality issues with his workmanship. He had done cabinet repairs, flooring refinishing, fully replaced our drywall ceiling in our kitchen, helped with painting, caulking around our windows, light fixtures installations and many more things I cannot even list. “I will start off by saying that I am so thankful we found Jay to work for us!! After a few bad - and very frustrating - experiences with other contractors and handymen (who tried to rip us off and overcharge us for doing shoddy work), we couldn’t have been happier with Jay and his other helper!!! My husband and I are new to the Dallas area and needed a lot of projects done in our home - some big and some small (kitchen remodel, wall enclosure, replace ceiling lights/fans, fix dry wall in garage, add electric outlets, replace bathroom countertops, build a custom desk, replace broken window, and lots more). We are not handy at all when it comes to remodeling or repairs of any kind, but Jay seems to be a jack of all trades and was able to fix just about everything we requested, or he referred us to another specialist.
