“Edit: I just got home and popped the hood and they have totally destroyed/removed about 75% of the cable sleeve on the wiring harness under the hood. My first experience with this shop was when the compressor on my 2009 Chevy wasn’t kicking on and the A/C button wouldn’t stay illuminated. They replaced some pressure switches and eventually decided it was a grounding issue somewhere. After spending a week chasing it, they gave up and told me to come get my truck. I took it to Abilene Diesel Performance instead, and they found and fixed the issue in less than 2 hours. My second experience was very similar. Same issue the compressor wouldn’t kick on, but this time the A/C light stayed illuminated. I dropped it off, and later that day I got a call saying the A/C control unit in the cab wasn’t communicating with the truck’s computer and would need to be replaced. I was quoted $1,000 despite this part being widely available all over the internet for around $150 and told a remanufactured unit would also need to be programmed to the truck. I mentioned that I probably had a few extra units at my shop and would check before deciding. An hour and a half later, I confirmed I had one, but by then the shop had already closed. I showed up the next morning just 7 minutes after they opened to pick up my truck, and I was met with attitude like they were offended that I’d decided to handle the repair myself even though the employee who gave me the diagnosis recommended it. They told me they’d have to “put it all back together” and asked me to wait outside. Three minutes later, my truck was pulled out of the shop. I paid them $80 for reinstalling my skid plate and running the code reader to diagnose the issue. Bottom line: this shop can handle basic jobs like swapping a condenser and recharging A/C, but if your issue is outside the norm or if you care about customer service I’d look elsewhere. I know I will from now on.”

“I took my car to Abilebr radiator. They did both a pressure and a vacuum test on my car a/c system and it was good so I had them charge the system for $335. I drove less than 500 miles and noticed the ac wasn’t cooling like it should. I took it back to them. They then said they found a leak in my condenser. Their quote to fix was more than I could afford at the time so I explained to the tech that I would have to complete the repairs myself. He agreed. They pulled what refrigerant out that was left, the tech said they pulled out .36kg and the car should have had .48kg. So I replace the condenser and when I started to go back I called. Kyle answered (I believe he is the owner) I told him I had fixed my car and was ready to have my Freon put back in and whatever needed to be added to fill. Kyle said I don’t show we pulled anything out of the system. I argued with him but he just kept saying there is nothing to put back. So this shop ripped me off for a little over 12 ounces of Freon that I had already paid for. Just at their price for the Freon was over $120 for 12 ounces. Get thing in writing with them don’t trust what they say because Kyle won’t stand behind it. And btw. I took my car to Mr. mechanic. Those guys got me back on the road quick and were a lot nicer than Kyle. Customer beware. To Abilene Radiator (Kyle) it would be nice to have my $130 dollars back but I know you’re not honest enough to return it so I hope you can sleep at night knowing you rip people off.”

“They had repaired my mustangs ac line and it leaked when I finished charging it. I took the line out and went back to them to complain. After they showed me where it was leaking, turned out it was a different spot. I left it for them to repair and they fixed it and install a new coupler connector. When I went to pick it up, I was shocked....no charge. Great bunch of guys. I highly recommend them. Thank you, Pastor Fred”
