About

Covac Inc works as an HVAC outfit based in Alhambra, Texas. They concentrate on heating and cooling systems for homes and small commercial spots around the area. Alhambra sits in a part of Texas where summer heat and humidity push air conditioners to their limits for months on end. Homeowners here often face units that break down right when temperatures peak, along with older systems that need regular attention to avoid costly failures. Covac Inc handles those local demands with direct service calls focused on getting equipment back online without unnecessary add-ons or delays. Their trade stays rooted in the practical side of keeping indoor air comfortable through long stretches of extreme weather that define the region.

In practice Covac Inc takes on standard HVAC tasks such as repairing compressors that quit during the hottest weeks, recharging refrigerant levels in aging units, and installing new systems when old ones can no longer keep up with Texas conditions. They respond to calls about weak airflow from clogged filters or ducts, replace thermostats that no longer hold settings, and perform seasonal tune-ups to catch issues before they strand families in the heat. Work often involves climbing into attics or crawl spaces to reach equipment, testing electrical connections, and explaining simple fixes like coil cleaning that extend equipment life. Around Alhambra the common pattern includes sudden no-cool calls in July and August plus occasional winter heating checks when cold fronts move through, all handled with the same steady approach to get systems running again quickly.

Customers give Covac Inc a 3.98 score across their twelve reviews because the company shows up on time for service in tough weather, completes repairs that hold without callbacks, charges rates that stay reasonable for the work done, and keeps homeowners informed about what needs fixing and why. In HVAC that combination matters when a breakdown hits at the worst moment and people need clear answers on costs and timelines rather than confusion. The limited number of reviews still points to consistent results in speed and quality that matter most to local homeowners dealing with repeated summer demands on their systems. DIRT Score 3.98 from 12 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

“This company does great work. This is the 2nd unit I have put in my home, which translates to my overall satisfaction with the product. Professional etiquette and speedy service. I highly recommend them.”

“Highly recommended. Do NOT go with those morons who will charge $50,000 for your house! Boris charges a little over $3000 per unit. We had an excellent experience from the planning to the execution to the payment. Boris is a kind, pleasant professional who works with an older person and a younger person in his crew. Clearly he knows what he is doing, because he has his own company manufacturing the mini-splits. Each mini-split has its own outside compressor box, so you can add more later - they don't all run from the same box. They will work with you in scheduling and placement and such, and they are polite and EFFICIENT. I had to teach a class on Zoom and Boris waited patiently to ask me questions. The price is very fair as well, and when my bank annoyingly only let me send over 1000 dollars per day, Boris was unflappable and did not mind that we paid that way. The machines work beautifully to dispense cold or warm air as needed. My 1927 house finally has some AC!”

“We use Covac mini-split systems here in Syracuse, New York, because they are the best ones out there. They are quiet (they don't kick on and off like a typical mini-split) and both heat and cool. The display can be hidden so you see no LEDs when sleeping. Also, in the winter they provide heat much more cheaply than our electric resistance heaters. I bought a 12000 BTU unit and then later bought a 24000 BTU unit. The fins can be set to slowly blow up and down and allows a single 24000 BTU unit to cool our living room, dining room, and kitchen.”

“I originally discovered Innova on Amazon where there are many fantastic reviews. When I discovered Boris was local, I felt safe in dealing with him directly. I was not disappointed! Boris has bright eyes - a confident man who loves what he does. He not only answered or immediately returned my calls, he also managed the maintenance himself. I should explain.... when I first hired Innova I had planned to have them install. However; when Boris realized I wanted the units place on the roof and the supply lines hidden in the walls... well, lets just say, I was not ready for their installation. Had I had the walls open and a platform on the roof, that might have been possible, but I would still check with him first before scheduling an install. BTW if you are prepared for their install, (including dedicated breaker/power supply) their installation is very reasonable! Boris gasses up the lines. The gas for the units is pricey. That's included in his fee. I ended up having to hire a few people to do our install. After each unit was powered up and placed where and how I wanted them; I invited Boris back to test/pressurize (?) the units.”

“Boris helped me in this entire process. I needed an installer to install 2 mini split systems in my home and workshop after a contractor I hired ditched me on the job. I had all the equipment. Boris and his team installed both of them in a matter of hours, wasted no time and got right to work as soon as they arrived. Many other companies only wanted to install this project if I bought the equipment from them and i'm glad they were able to get everything installed. The install looks very clean, the units are pumping cool air into my house and i'm a happy customer!”
