Srs Operating Co., Lp
HVAC Contractor · Allen, TX
About
Srs Operating Co., Lp handles HVAC work across Kaufman County, Texas where summers run long and hot while winters can still bring sudden cold snaps that test home systems. They focus on keeping heating and cooling equipment running for local houses and properties without extra layers of management getting in the way. The crew works directly with the equipment that homeowners rely on day to day in this part of the state where air conditioning runs almost nonstop from spring through fall.
They handle repairs on units that quit during the worst heat along with full installs and routine maintenance calls that keep systems from failing when the weather turns. One customer pointed out years of steady service from the company and gave a direct shoutout to James Phillips for showing up and getting things sorted without fail time after time. Jobs often involve tracking down the right parts for older systems common in the area or fixing setups that were put in wrong from the start so the house stays comfortable without constant breakdowns or high utility bills.
Homeowners in Kaufman County keep coming back because the work holds up under real conditions like heavy use through summer and quick response when something quits right before a cold front. Feedback highlights solid quality on the fixes along with clear communication about what needs doing and how much it will cost so there are no surprises on the bill. Speed on getting techs out and finishing the job right matters most when the temperature spikes or drops. DIRT Score 4.21 from 72 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say
“We can’t say enough good things about SRS Building Supply and the level of service they’ve consistently provided our company over the years. In an industry where reliability matters, SRS has always come through for us time and time again without fail. A huge shoutout specifically to "James Phillips" at the Boise, Idaho branch for his incredible roofing knowledge, professionalism, communication, and willingness to help whenever needed. It’s rare to find someone in the supplier side of this industry who truly understands roofing operations and customer service the way he does. James has always treated us with respect, urgency, and professionalism, and that goes a long way in this business. At 208 Roofing, we greatly value our relationship with SRS Building Supply. They’ve helped us keep projects running smoothly, take care of customers, and maintain the standards we hold ourselves to as a company. Dependability and accountability matter, and SRS has consistently delivered both. Highly recommend SRS to any contractor looking for a supplier they can truly count on. “ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE - TRESPASSING AND PROPERTY DAMAGE Beyond outraged by the unprofessionalism and incompetence displayed by SRS Building Products. They showed up at the wrong address (a house rented out as an Airbnb) without any prior notification or authorization, and proceeded to dump thousands of pounds of heavy, large pallets of shingles on the roof. They did not knock on the door, nor did they check in with anyone. They just started working on a property they had no business being on. The renters, who have kids, were understandably terrified and confused as to why construction workers were suddenly on the roof. The owner of the property had to send a neighbor over to stop them. By that time, the damage was already done. Several large pallets of shingles were not just placed on the roof, but nailed down to the roof, causing thousands of dollars in damages to the roofing structure and the driveway from the heavy equipment. When I contacted SRS Building Products to figure out this nightmare, I spoke with Sam, the regional manager in St. George. Sam was incredibly rude, careless, and showed zero accountability from the start. After I questioned why they did not knock on the door to check addresses before starting work, Sam actually hung up the phone on the home owner. This company is careless, unprofessional, and treats residential property with zero respect. Owner now has to deal with thousands of dollars in repairs to the roof and driveway. Owner is currently in contact with an attorney and will be moving forward with legal action to hold SRS Building Products accountable for their incompetence and damages. DO NOT USE SRS BUILDING PRODUCTS.”
“I did a job for them and sent them an invoice September 12. The payment was due October 12. The payment was due 39 days ago, and I still don’t have my money. My emails and calls were ignored for exactly three weeks. Now they are ignoring me again. Would never recommend doing business with a company like this. Also, on another note, it’s cheaper to get material from Lowe’s.”
“Had issues with local distributer in Florida, Nebraska Ave Div. They won't return calls and are rude. One decent salesman gave us Corp. number. Called Corp twice left message and no return call, emailed twice and nothing. It appears local distributors follow the lead of corporate. Not how Home Depot runs their side.”
“I applied for a position here June 4th and heard back from their recruiter Shahista Aijaz (possibly with Heritage Recruiting?) on June 18th. I had set up an interview for the following week on the 24th. She was 10 minutes late and called me another candidate's name. We finished the interview with her saying she will get me an answer Friday. Not once did she follow up or respond to my emails despite setting the expectation of providing an answer the same week. Very unprofessional to ghost an interested candidate for a new position. The whole ordeal was almost (4) weeks of the role not being filled. Sad for the company that they didn't fill the position in that time.”
