What Customers Say
“Huge thank you to Kahuna comfort for fixing my leaking pipes! This was our second time having a leak from the main pipeline leading into the house. Very frustrating! Reached out to Kahuna comfort and within an hour had Isaac and Jesse come out to assess the situation and provide options on fixing. We really didn’t want to change the entire pipeline and just wanted a spot fix (mostly due to financial reasons). We did end up choosing to redo the entire pipeline, and were able to get a very reasonable price for the job. They were also able to work their magic and give us water for the night! Next day Edwin and Antonio came to replace all the pipes. They were both very hard working and did an excellent job to re-do the pipes (it was a much bigger job than I anticipated). Huge shoutout to them for doing such a great job! Few days later (thanks Solana for helping with scheduling!) had John and Salvador come to patch up the wall and re-do the stucco. They also did an excellent job! It looks like nothing ever happened. I’m so happy that we chose Kahuna comfort to help us with this issue. THANK YOU TO THE WHOLE TEAM!!”
“Rudy came to upgrade my condos old shower to one that’s updated with modern knobs and valves. He was very professional in the quote and the reason I chose this company was the quote was spelled out and no hidden fees. The process to convert was fine however during this process, it ended up affecting my kitchen water pressure. Was it coincidental? Not sure but it ended up costing more than I expected and the reason given was my pipes were old. Funny they were working fine before the upgrade. In addition the quote I was given for the kitchen sink repair was incorrect (it was for another shower part) and lucky I caught the error. Overall Rudy is a solid plumber. I think the company could’ve given me a better deal on the kitchen job, but I won’t quibble about the price now. It’s done and my tenant is happy. Being said that, I will hire them again. There’s plenty of companies out there, but I was satisfied with the results.”
“Alex was able to diagnose the problem quickly & accurately and the next day the technicians returned to install our water heater. The work was done efficiently, quietly and as quickly as possible. The price point for this was more than reasonable.”
“I had a very disappointing experience with this company. I was quoted nearly three times what other plumbers quoted for the same repair. What concerned me most was the inconsistency in their diagnostic fees. I was charged $200 just to cut into the wall and identify the issue. On a separately random note, I asked my coworker and he happened to have retained Kahuna as well on a project at his house in Placentia. Same leak and fix. He also felt he had been overcharged until he sought another estimate. My coworker even had the exact same company and even the same technician did not charge for having a wall opened during diagnosis. I thought maybe that “cutting open” fee was waived because he went with them but my coworker didn’t end up using Kahuna for that leak and was still not charged. After getting a second, third and fourth opinion, I learned that the recommended repair and pricing were significantly inflated. I understand that pricing can vary, but transparency and consistency are important. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend obtaining multiple quotes before agreeing to any work with this company. Also, we were quoted almost $7,500 for a home whole home filtration system. My coworker (who has a bigger house than me in a neighboring city) got his for $3,500… A positive was that the technician was very nice and responsive.”
“It was a pleasure working with Jesse. He came out during a time of need and was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and professional throughout the process. After his inspection, we discovered that the toilet flange had been set below floor level and was tilted at an angle, which caused the wax ring to fail and leak into the downstairs bathroom. Jesse also performed a camera inspection and identified that the original drain lines are corroded and in need of repair, which gave us a much better understanding of the issue and what needs to be addressed moving forward. I truly appreciate Jesse’s honesty, experience, and professionalism. Highly recommend him to anyone needing a thorough and knowledgeable technician.”
