“A Masterclass in HVAC Engineering, Building Science, and Total Comfort! Initial Survey: This visit was for a pre-install consult. I intend to remove a 3-ton and a 3.5-ton HVAC system and replace them with a single 5-ton Carrier Infinity Greenspeed heat pump with three zones. Timothy was prompt, friendly, asked the right questions and listened to my answers. He wanted to understand what my expectations are with respect to temperature, humidity, and indoor air quality. We walked my home, went into the attic, and outside to the condenser units. He wanted to see everything so he and his team could design my system and plan a schedule to implement the plan correctly. Overall Experience: My wife Lisa and I recently hired Atlas AC Repair to execute a massive, highly-engineered project for our 3,300 sq. ft. home in League City. We tasked them with consolidating two older attic systems (a 3-ton and a 3.5-ton) into a single 5-ton Carrier Infinity Greenspeed dual-fuel system with three zones. Because we had recently optimized our thermal envelope with R-49 cellulose, a radiant barrier, air sealing, and integrated a 15.4 kW solar system with three Tesla Powerwalls, we needed a team that truly understood building science and could deliver a data-driven solution. Atlas absolutely delivered, and the entire crew—including Tommy, Kenneth, Timothy, Israel, and Freddi—were fantastic. Tommy was incredibly patient and collaborative as we worked through multiple estimate revisions to lock in the exact variable-speed Heat Pump and 97% modulating gas furnace configuration we needed to maximize our solar investment. When the initial numbers looked off, Timothy and Kenneth dug into the engineering details and provided a revised Manual J load calculation. By correctly adjusting the software parameters to account for the Greenspeed’s unmatched dehumidification capabilities, they proved mathematically that a 5-ton system was a perfect fit for our upgraded home. Freddi’s thorough duct survey in the attic ensured our custom plenums and the four newly added upstairs return ducts would easily handle the required airflow. What truly stood out during this two-day installation was the exceptional on-site leadership. Kenneth was incredibly present and proactive, ensuring that lessons learned from previous jobs were directly implemented here to elevate the quality of our installation. It was also wonderful to watch the on-the-spot, "just-in-time" training provided by Israel and overseen by Kenneth to create new supervisors. Seeing this mentorship in real-time ensures that any tribal knowledge becomes part of the organization's ethos and is a true testament to Atlas AC Repair's commitment to continual quality improvement and investing in their tradesmen. The results are nothing short of life-changing for our family, and the Carrier Infinity zoning capabilities are phenomenal. Last night, for the first time ever, Lisa and I were able to set our bedroom thermostat to 68 degrees. Normally, my live-in mom cannot tolerate it being that cool, but because our rooms are now zoned separately, she can sleep comfortably at her own desired temperature. Furthermore, our investment in indoor air quality has made a massive difference. Atlas installed a 5-inch Carrier Pure Air filter cabinet paired with a REME HALO LED. For the first time in the four years we've lived in this home, I woke up without a stuffy nose! “We had two units replaced back in 2023. We purchased the extended warranty and it was honored when our system went out and was repaired. We were so impressed of the communication between scheduling the dates for repair to the crew who actually did the repairs. Extremely knowledgeable of their work. Atlas AC Repair stands by their word. Thank you to all the staff at Atlass. However we are disappointed in the Carrier brand unit. To purchase a brand new unit and it goes out in 3 years. We will be notifying Carrier about their failed product that broke down in 3 years.”

“I have been dealing with HVAC companies for over 40 years and Atlas is by far the best. The only HVAC company that posts the exact prices for whatever you want. What you see is what you pay. They also have great videos to watch so you can be an informed consumer. They are professional in all aspects, and their work is top notch. Roger came out and sized my new system. Supply and return ducts had to be added to balance the system. Home Depot came out and just gave my a quote-they didn't do this calculation which is critical. Their prices were much higher as well. I would give them 6 stars if I could.”
