About
Comfort On Demand Llc handles HVAC work out of Rains County, Texas. They focus on heating and cooling systems for homes and small businesses in the area. The company takes on full installs, repairs, and tune-ups for furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, and air conditioners. They also handle emergency calls when units break down in the middle of a Texas heat wave or cold snap. From their background, they cover both residential and commercial jobs while keeping an eye on indoor air quality through duct work and related fixes. Homeowners around Rains County often deal with heavy humidity and sudden temperature swings that put extra strain on equipment, so these crews stay busy with the usual mix of old systems and newer installs that need quick attention.
They send technicians like Brandon out for duct cleaning and full replacements, which helped one family get their home ready after a medical issue by swapping out old ducts to improve airflow. Other jobs include fixing units that freeze up from low Freon levels, as seen when crews returned multiple times to sort out the same problem on a new install. They also balance systems so some rooms stop running hotter than others, which sorted out comfort issues in a small business owner's house. Their list covers heating repairs, furnace and boiler work, air conditioning tune-ups, and emergency service for both heating and cooling breakdowns. Crews work on installations from start to finish and handle the kind of repeat visits that come up when a system needs more than one trip to run right.
Customers mention solid results on duct jobs and system balancing when the tech shows up prepared and explains the fix. Speed comes through on emergency calls, though some note extra visits needed for the same issue, and price gets mixed feedback depending on how many trips it takes. Communication holds up when they follow through on what was promised, but overall feedback lands in the middle because of those repeat problems on installs. The score reflects a mix of strong fixes on specific jobs alongside cases where the work needed more attention to hold. DIRT Score 3.2 from 21 reviews on Finds.

“This company is so shady. They installed a unit in my home and within one week I had technicians over trying to fix the unit from freezing over. I was told that the unit didn’t have enough Freon. I had to call them again within weeks for them to come out and fix the unit again from freezing over. I was told that there might be a leak somewhere in the pipes. Then was told there was no leak. That there was too much Freon. Over the course of a couple of years they had to keep coming out to figure out what the issue was. Then I was told that there was not enough ductwork for the air to flow properly which I’ve already had two units installed and both worked just fine. Calling these people once again the following year I was told that they no longer service residential area only commercial work. How convenient. This company is shady and cannot take responsibility for their lazy work.”
“After our 3 year old son was diagnosed with Leukemia we started thinking of how clean our home needed to be. I called Brandon to ask about cleaning our duct work before our son's return home. They stepped outside their commercial heating and cooling work and offered to replace our ductwork inside our home at no charge. Several men volunteered to work on their Saturday off to clean and install. We would like to thank you Mark, Brandon, Ivan, Chris, Alex, David, Aaron, and all of Comfort Technologies for helping our return home be a clean safe one. Highly recommend these gentlemen!”
“We have two suites at 6607 Hillcrest Ave Dallas, TX 75205, Suite 100 & Suite 200, which we sublease Suite 200 to a spa. We have been doing business with Comfort Technologies over a year for both suites, which have two different AC units therefore we were being billed separately. Our tenant at Ste 200 called to let us know that her AC was making noises and not cooling. So I called Comfort Technologies and spoke with Jacob who advised that they would have someone out today within 2-4 hours. Our tenant called and spoke with Jessica and advised that she would be at location to meet the technician at noon, than Jessica called her back and advised they would bill her hourly for waiting because their technician was going to be there early so they will have to bill for waiting. Therefore the conversation did not go well. So Jacob called me and told me what happened with the conversation with our tenant. I told him that I agree with our tenant and that if you are not able to have someone there at noon than maybe you should give us the option to reschedule therefore we are not being billed for the technician just waiting until noon and he told me that he did not understand what I was stating. But eventually he agreed to have the tech come at noon. Also in the email from my tenant of acknowledging that their AC was having issues, advised that their unit has not been serviced for over a year, the same time frame we have had a contract with Comfort Technologies. So I contacted Jessica about these and she advised their tech Oscar went out to the location in Feb 2020 and that see would send me a tracker and images. I received the images and tracker and the images reflected Ste 100 but was invoiced for Ste 200, and the tracker reflects that the tech was at 6607 Hillcrest Ave Dallas, TX 75205 but no suite number. I sent Jacob and Jessica an email advising that the images do not prove the tech was at Ste 200 and Jacob emailed the following: Loquanet, I have terminated our agreement with impeccable pig. Thank you and have a great day. Respectfully Jacob Wheeler Vice President I called Jacob and with me cordially explaining why I needed proof of services he hung up on me. I called back and he answered and I advised if he would just send me the image with Ste 200 he said this was ridiculously and hung up the phone. We had been paying Comfort Technologies for over year for services that they can not prove they had done.”
“My wife and I own a small business in the home services industry, so we're especially picky when choosing any company that will be sending a technician into our home. We were thoroughly impressed with the entire experience! We were having some balancing issues (a couple rooms in the house much warmer than the rest) and Comfort Technologies L.L.C. sent out Eli to help. He called ahead, showed up on time, was pleasant, professional and respected our home/property by wearing shoe covers inside and was careful moving around the house with his tools. He worked quickly (respected our time), figured out the issue and fixed it in no time. He had some recommendations, to help our A/C system run optimally, but was never "salesy" (no scare tactics or high-pressure). The company even followed up several days later. The temperature throughout the house is balanced now. We couldn't recommend Comfort Technologies any higher and have already recommended them to a couple of our friends.”
“Last year both of my systems went out (2 outside units and 1 of the 2 inside units). Comfort Air came in and replaced both in a timely manner with professional techs. 1 year later I notice an issue and within 1 hour a tech is at my house and finds the issue (manufacturer defect, not anything Comfort Air did). Got us up and going for the evening until the part could be replaced next day under warranty. Great company, great techs, great service.”
