Atomic Mechanical

Atomic Mechanical works out of Atascadero, TX on HVAC systems for homes and small buildings. They focus on keeping air moving right through the long Texas summers when the heat pushes equipment hard. The crew shows up with the tools and parts needed for the daily grind of cooling houses that sit in open country where temperatures climb fast and stay there. Homeowners in the area deal with dust, humidity spikes, and units that run nonstop from spring through fall, so the work centers on keeping those systems running without constant breakdowns. Phone contact stays straightforward at the listed number for anyone needing a call out.

In Atascadero the summer heat means air conditioners take a beating from nonstop use and fine dust that clogs filters and coils. Atomic Mechanical handles the regular jobs that come up like replacing worn compressors, cleaning out blocked lines, fixing thermostat problems that leave rooms too hot or too cold, and swapping out old units that no longer pull enough load. They also do the basic maintenance rounds that catch small leaks or weak fans before they turn into full failures during the worst weeks of the year. Local houses often sit on larger lots with exposure to wind and sun, so the crews spend time checking ductwork and making sure airflow stays balanced across the whole place instead of leaving hot spots in certain rooms.

Customers keep coming back because the work gets done fast when the system quits on the hottest days, the repairs hold up without callbacks, the bills stay in line with what was quoted, and the explanations come in plain terms without extra layers. That steady record on speed, quality, price, and communication builds the kind of trust that shows up in the numbers. DIRT Score 4.8 from 74 reviews on Finds.

“I wasn’t sure I could be more impressed with Tommy’s. I was wrong. Now there is a spotless and larger garage for services. Great service just got…greater. A friend asked me about a mechanic and I said I wouldn’t just trust my car to Tommy’s, I’d trust my kids with Tommy’s. It’s that level of care and service. They need to add a 6th star for Tommy’s.”

“I had catastrophic damage to my Jeep engine and associated parts. I'm not from here, but Tommy's was recommended to me. I'm so glad it was towed there. Though I certainly wish I had not had to go through this, they took fabulous care of my Jeep, and kept me informed every step of the way. I greatly appreciate the entire team, but especially Kevin whose positive attitude made a world of difference. I'm back on the road again, but if I were local they would definitely be my mechanics. I highly recommend them. Thanks for taking care of Rubi!”

“Found out about Tommy’s because they were the only ones willing to work on our 77 Chevy. Now we bring all our vehicles here and so does the rest of our family! Everyone is always incredibly nice and take the time to answer any questions we have. Would HIGHLY recommend Tommy’s to anyone”

“Tommy and his team are very honest and professional. They go above and beyond in their diagnostics and did a great job finding the problem at the outset when there were several potentially more costly possibilities. I can't say enough about their honesty and hard work getting us back on the road quickly.”

“I am driving home to Oregon from SoCal when my shifter cable breaks and leaves me stranded in Altascadero on a Sunday evening. Lame. Tommy and team leaped into action and began solving my issue with great communication and knowledge. The guys at Tommy’s Auto and Performance really saved my bacon and did so as if we were family, couldn’t recommend them more.”
