About

Air Pro Inc works out of Austin, Texas and focuses on HVAC work for homes across the area. They handle heating and cooling systems that homeowners rely on during hot summers and occasional cold snaps. The company sends technicians for service calls and maintenance on residential units, including tasks like clearing out dryer exhaust lines and addressing problems with air conditioners that run nonstop. Local weather puts extra demand on these systems, so crews deal with dust buildup, airflow restrictions, and units that freeze or fail to cycle properly on a regular basis.

Technicians like Nick perform dryer duct cleaning by pulling lint from exhaust pipes during appointments that can last more than an hour, showing homeowners the material removed from the lines. Other jobs include service visits to diagnose air conditioners that stay on around the clock without shutting down, plus work on newly installed systems that develop freezing problems where crews add extra openings to improve airflow and stop ice buildup. These calls often involve basic checks and adjustments to existing setups rather than full replacements, though outcomes depend on how thoroughly the root cause gets identified during the visit.

Customer feedback highlights inconsistent results with some technicians completing duct jobs in a straightforward manner while others leave issues like nonstop AC operation unresolved after charging for the service and promising callbacks that never happen. Communication gaps appear often in reports, along with frustration over costs that do not lead to fixes on freezing units or other malfunctions. The pattern of mixed outcomes on quality and follow-through produces the overall rating. DIRT Score 3.38 from 63 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

We hired AirPro twice recently for dryer duct cleaning. The first time the appointment was setup with a group of households last September. Nick came, cleaned the exhaust pipe and showed me whatever lint he pulled out. He was very professional and the job took more than an hour. Our dryer broke at the beginning of December, so we purchased a new one that comes with an AI. From the very beginning the dryer kept giving the message "Duct blockage 80%. Check home exhaust system before using dryer.". Since we had the ducts professionally cleaned, I ignored the message, thinking that the machine was too sensitive. In January, the message changed to "Duct blockage 90%". The dryer was not drying the clothes either, so I took the exhaust pipe apart behind the machine. I saw that there was some lint, not much. So I called customer service to ask them to send an installation team and check on the installation. They came and pulled out a large clump of lint out of the wall. They recommended that I call the dryer duct cleaning service back. We called AirPro, and they explained that because we had never had the ducts serviced in 24 years, we actually required a deep cleaning. They sent Alex right away. They kindly allowed us to pay the difference to complete the service. We also discovered that our actual exhaust goes through the roof; we had been mistakenly checking a different vent on the outside wall near the laundry room. We highly recommend having your dryer ducts professionally serviced. We am grateful for AirPro for helping us avoid a potential fire.

Air pro came out to find put why my ac system wasn’t turning off it stayes on 24/7. Anyways came out did a service and did not find out or fix my problem over 200 dollars wasted do not use this company said they would call me back yet to receive a call back and so yeah they will take ur money and run.

Unfortunately I have to post this because this company has cheated me out of my money. I have tried settling this with them via the third party (messages on FB) but they did not call me (even though they said they did). I have also disputed the charges with my credit card. I used this company back in 2022 and was pleased with their work, what the guy from FB said would be done, was done and I was completely satisfied. I decided to use them again this year, but it did not go well at all. From FB message, you can see what would be done, same as before. However, this time around, there was mold in the system and vents. I agreed to the price of the treatments and was ready to pay what was needed to get this taken care of. The technician did not remove any of the mold but sprayed Kilz on it! He only took off a few vent covers, aired out the foam, installed an ultraviolet light, and did a 10 second sanitizer through one vent cover. I was alone in my house, and the technician was a clearly able bodied man, and when I approached him many times about cleaning the mold and not spraying over it, he argued with me. We had many arguments because I was very unhappy with how he was treating the mold, definitely not a mold treatment you would expect for over the price of $2,000! After he was gone, I had to sweep his mess up because he didn’t bother to place anything under him, it got on my table, my kids’ stuff, and bed. After he left, I took off all the vent covers and had to clean everything myself, the inside of the vents were never cleaned though by him or me. Even though I showed him the FB message stating that all vents would be cleaned, he said the service had changed. I eventually felt like it was unsafe for me to continue arguing and signed a contract stating I was happy with my service, and I gave the technician a tip as well-all very stupid of me because I felt unsafe. I’ve been dealing with my credit card company for a few months now stating that I will pay for the ultraviolet light, but the other services were not done the way they should have and I want to be reimbursed for that. I would not use them for any type of mold treatment and make sure to go over in detail the service they will provide before agreeing to anything! Also, make sure you aren’t a woman at home and have someone with you in case there are disputes! Air Pro, hopefully you will actually contact me and we can settle this.

These people were hired by the builder of the home that I bought and I've had nothing but problems since it was installed. Originally it had freezing up issues, and like somebody else said in their review they cut a new are opening to allow more airflow in. That did stop the freezing for a while. Then it started back up again and they replaced the coil. Immediately after they replaced the coil it started flooding the bottom of my house and would cause the air duct to come off due to being full of water, we would be stuck without air conditioning at the hottest part of the summer due to this. This happened three different times and every time they would come out and reattach the air duct but never fix the real issue. Each of those times the filters were clean. Then it started to flood the inside of my house. I called them and because the filters were not as clean as they would like them to be( this time) they tried to blame it on my filters (despite the fact that it had been a reoccurring issue, and they had been out multiple other times when the filters were clean and it was never addressed.) Then to top it off they told me that they were going to make me pay for the service call because they believed that this time it was the filters! Even though it had been happening since the unit was installed and the filters were clean every other single time!! I can agree with what most people have said which is that the staff are nice but good community service doesn't stop at the person being nice, the people actually have to be competent enough to do their job. Do not take the risk of using this company, you will sorely regret it, in fact I wouldn't doubt it if the good reviews on here are actually the people that work there trying to help out their rating. I'm having to contact a different air conditioning company to come and see what's going on because these guys don't know what they're doing. Do not use this company, it's not worth taking the risk.

Air Pro came out and got my AC running in less than a hour when the other guys said it would be a week for a C/O. These guys know there stuff! Highly recommend to anyone looking for noble work.
