About

Elite A/C & Heat runs as a local HVAC operation based in Houston, Texas, where they handle heating and cooling work for homes and businesses across the area. Their technicians deal with the demands of Houston weather on equipment day in and day out, focusing on repairs, upkeep, and full installations for all major brands. The company stays licensed under Texas rules and keeps things practical, showing up with the tools and know-how to address the issues that pop up in this climate without adding complications. They cover standard tasks like system checks and line clearing while serving both residential and commercial spots around town.

Their day-to-day work includes installing complete HVAC setups such as American Standard units along with mini splits, performing routine maintenance, designing ductwork, and fixing problems like condensate line clogs or leaks that affect performance. Techs such as Desmond, Frank, Nick, Tyler, and Eric Nanez handle these jobs on site, often arriving the same day when a unit fails or a sink leak shows up during regular service calls. They explain the fixes in plain terms, avoid pushing unneeded parts, and handle both straightforward repairs and bigger projects like full system replacements that keep everything running through the year. This approach covers commercial sites and houses alike, with crews returning as needed for annual checks or sudden breakdowns.

Customers keep coming back because the work holds up without shortcuts, the pricing stays fair, and the crew communicates clearly about what needs doing and why. Reviews highlight same-day responses, solid explanations during visits, and honest advice that prevents wasted time or money on extras, even when multiple trips were required for tough AC problems. The steady results across hundreds of calls in Houston add up to reliable outcomes that homeowners count on. DIRT Score 5 from 727 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

Two stars because their techs were great. Desmond, Frank, Nick and Tyler were great the seven times we saw them over the past year, but after having to clear my family out of the house multiple times for AC issues. I’m done. We purchased a $25k American Standard system plus a $6k mini split for my garage from Elite for our new construction home. After moving in January 2025, we came home to a non functioning system after a trip in May. We had an emergency call and Frank came out and fixed the system. Clogged drain line, which after 5 months of use is apparently a maintenance issue according to them and I got to pay $447 for their services. Asked about their maintenance program, no response from anyone. System goes out 3 days later. Now it’s a sensor issue, so the tech bypasses the sensor and calls it good. No charge, but also no refund for the previous service and no response on getting on a maintenance plan. Two weeks later, system goes out again it’s a breaker issue. After getting that fixed on my own the system worked fine for the last year. September 2025, I found water in my garage and my mini split was leaking through the wall. One of the pvc elbows wasn’t glued properly on the drain line. Elite fixed it free of charge. June 2026 my main system suffered two major failures. Leaking coil and compressor failure. Elite confirmed this, but decided, I still got to pay the $289 off hours call, while I waited around on Father’s Day for them. Because I’m now out of my 1 year labor warranty, I was offered “a deal” on the service while the parts were covered under warranty. This is the point where I just decided that I could no longer work with this company and I was really out the price of a Honda Civic, minus the reliability. After telling them that wasn’t good enough, their service manager Tim tried to make it right, offered to replace the parts and labor for free. If this had been the first issue, I would have taken him up on it, but I’m at a point of zero confidence in this company. Maybe I had bad luck or bad installers initially, but I decided to take care of my family and have a new unit from a different company installed. Despite what the jingle on the hold line says, which I’m very familiar with, Elite Air Conditioning and Plumbing does not care.

I always recommend Elite as the go to for HVAC and Plumbing service, both commercially and residential. Their work is top notch, they care about their customers, and they never take advantage or sell you things you don't need. They've absolutely saved me money, time, and heart ache over the years. Special shout out to Gabe, who came over today to help me with my steam unit! He was great!

Had Eric Nanez and one of the trainers come out same day due to a leak in our kitchen sink. They were both so professional and explained everything to me really clearly. Another great experience with Elite.

I’ve never seen such careless driving from a company vehicle. Cut me off, no signal, and swerving between lanes. Completely unacceptable. Do better.

Evan is the BEST! Last night, I had a real emergency. I have a rental property that has been on the market for a long time and I had a very last-minute showing for 9 o’clock this morning. I went to check out my property and it was 93°! My AC was totally out, it was Sunday night at 6 pm, and I called six companies before I found elite. Evan came within an hour and was able to fix it. It wasn’t even an easy fix. It was a very weird problem and he did it in a pitch black dark! By 1030 last night it was solved and I went there this morning 20 minutes before the realtor arrived and it was a cool 71°. Three cheers for Evan!!!! Also, So many companies have an after hours operator that never calls you back or calls you the next day, which is no help for an emergency service, but they literally called back within 10 minutes with a real technician. I will totally use elite again and again!
