“They were dispatched via American Home Shield. I was sent a document showing the capacitor and condensor were bad. I called Lone Star to follow up and the person on the phone really pressured me hard to buy a new unit. I told him to send that information to American Home Shield and they would decide whether or not to repair or replace. The person on the phone then flat-out threatened me, saying that if I didn't buy a new unit he would tell American Home Shield that my unit was full of mold and unsafe to work on, which would void my warranty. So, I could either buy a new unit from Lone Star or they would make sure AHS would void my warranty. Funny how it's not hazardous enough to replace, but is too hazardous to repair. I alerted American Home Shield. The Lone Star representative did as promosed and wrote that my unit was unsafe and hazardous. Little did he know that two other AHS technicians visited the property this year and did not document hazardous mold. American Home Shield promptly dispatched somebody else. Please be careful when getting your AC repaired. Most units can be repaired and don't require replacement. Contractors in Central Texas will commonly try to convince you”

“This company was Chosen through american home shield, a warranty company. They came out, supposedly, checked out air conditioning system. My son was there I was not. It took three requests to have them go out before I got any estimates or repair costs. The last time I requested Service, I was sent a text from the technician (Joel) telling me he was twenty minutes away. It was way past closing time when I texted him back, asking him where he is? He gave me the number to to Bruce. I texted Bruce at lone star. I was told he had already sent in the estimate and the pictures. I told him I had not received anything from anyone. In fact, I was told by my son that the technician (Joell) didn't do anything.He walked around looking at things. So they said the estimate and the pictures I get the money together and they refuse service. I tried calling them two days in a row.They refused to pick up the phone. On the second date I finally got a text. Play me, they did not want to service. My property. This is the most unreliable unprofessional company to service the state of Texas. If the estimates and the pictures would have been uploaded the first time they came out they would not have had rep”

“They replaced our whole system and we loved them!!!! They showed us everything and answered all the questions. My mom got up in the attic with them at one point to see how it all worked and they took the time to show her and explain to her. They were soo nice!”

“We had Lonestar out for issues with our AC not cooling, Joel was able to find the problem and get it fixed for us! He followed up that evening to check if it was cooling and the next day as well which I really appreciated. Highly recommend Joel!”

“Cancelled contract with American Home Shield cause poor customer service - called 4 times to get secondary visit cause Eric tech came checked attic AC heater. Then see a leak water stain and chipped paint that was new upstairs. He left the stairs down, like a crime scene. Rushed out. Then I called back AHS to have them fix, find out Lone star didn't send report back for days so escalated. Talked to the owner and owner, said it's not related, meanwhile he was never there. Changed story that it was AC vs. heater. Customer service of AHS is not helpful being bounced around to overseas VA and then escalated. They will try to not cancel, but I am so done with them! Not worth the money or time. I said if tech comes out causes damage, and you tell me it's not covered, so what you are saying it's out of my pocket cause he created issues. NOT worth it people. Even my neighbor who used to work with AHS, said they hire these low quality techs and just do not do the job, keep coming back etc. Just find your own AC or tech person. In the long run you are not saving money with paying 100 every time to meet deductable.”
