Mac Ludin
HVAC Contractor · Austin, TX
About
Mac Ludin runs an HVAC operation out of Bastrop, Texas, handling the cooling and heating needs that come with Central Texas weather. The company focuses on residential and light commercial work, keeping systems running through long hot summers and the occasional winter freeze that can hit the area hard. Homeowners in Bastrop call on them for everything from routine maintenance to full equipment swaps when old units fail during peak season. The crew shows up with the tools and parts needed to get air moving again without dragging jobs out longer than necessary.
In practice the work covers installing new air conditioning units, repairing broken compressors and fan motors, recharging refrigerant lines, and cleaning coils that get clogged with dust from the surrounding countryside. Technicians handle duct repairs when leaks show up in attics and perform seasonal tune-ups that keep systems from breaking down right when temperatures spike. They also deal with thermostat replacements and airflow issues that leave some rooms too hot while others stay cold. The approach stays straightforward, with clear explanations of what needs fixing and no unnecessary add-ons pushed on the customer.
Fair pricing stands out as the strongest point customers mention, landing at nine out of ten while communication sits at six out of ten. People note the crew arrives when promised, explains costs up front, and finishes jobs without surprise charges even on weekend or after-hours calls. Reviews highlight reliable fixes on units that had been patched multiple times before, along with straightforward talk about whether repair or replacement makes more sense for older systems. What Customers Say
“Schumann theaters took amazing care of us for our family bowling night. We had 20+ people and we were all able to bowl comfortably. Our host Elizabeth made sure we had timely food and drinks and we really appreciate the Friday free game card incentive. Thank you for the wonderful time.”
“A four-in-one theatre! We came here for my oldest to have a date with her long-distance boyfriend while he was visiting family. This theatre was the perfect middle point for both families to meet. We didn't know what to expect going in and we were completely surprised to find a movie theater had a bowling alley, arcade, and (on certain nights of the week) a comedy club! It was such a cool place! While the oldest went on her date, the rest of us enjoyed themed bowling games and time in the arcade. New games were available, despite its smaller size. If we come this way again, we're definitely stopping for some fun!”
“It's great having an arcade in Bastrop, but man do you lose some money on all the games that are broken, but not labeled as such. Plus, there's rarely anyone available to fix the games, or refund you all the money you lose on the broken games. This arcade would be so much nicer if they just assigned someone to help, especially on the weekend.”
“Thank you to Film Alley events for putting on a great teen pizza/movie night for our church. Regina and Elizabeth are the best. From planning to execution, it was perfect. A great value for a night of food, fun, and film. Thanks!”
“Very nice experience! We attended for a nephew’s birthday party and it was nice. Clean place and attentive staff. He had cheese and pepperoni pizza it was great. The party area was spacious and the party host kept us on schedule. We didnt need to worry about much. We enjoyed bowling and the arcade. They also have a movie theater and later that night a stage area in the party room they were having a guest comedian. A calm, family friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The bar drinks were great too. Definitely a place to enjoy while in Bastrop.”
