“Absolutely the most pathetic civil and road engineering in the country. Never seen such poorly designed roads, and of poor quality. Texas needs to increase the standards and regulation for professional engineers, construction quality, and use some common sense. And why are you still using timers at all intersections vs pressure tranducers?!?! You have primary thoroughfare lanes stopped for cross traffic when not a single car is waiting. Traffic backs up down main arteries when there is no need to stop traffic. This wastes time, creates hazards, wastes tires and brakes, wastes fuel and energy, and is just idiotic. Why arent you modernizing your roads? "Hi Im TXDoT. We have no sensible standards and build terrible roads, but as long as the speed limit is dangerously fast its all good."”

Do the job right the first time and move on and get the other really bad roads repaired.”
