About

Big Fish AC & Heating LLC runs as a family-owned HVAC outfit based in Jasper County, Texas. They focus on heating and cooling work for homes and businesses throughout Southeast Texas, where the heat and humidity put real demands on equipment year after year. Independently operated with a local mindset, the crew handles repairs, replacements, and maintenance on air conditioning and heating systems without overcomplicating things. Their approach centers on showing up ready to fix what broke and keeping costs straight with the people who live and work in the area.

The team takes on full air conditioning installs that cover both the inside and outside units along with duct cleaning and fogging to clear out buildup. When an old unit fails completely, they get a replacement lined up fast, often the next day, and the installers walk through every step while leaving the site clean. Technicians such as Ray check the whole system on arrival, spot the exact problem, and handle it without tracking dirt inside. Drake, Dustin, Brandon, Landyn, Ronnie, Scott, Brooks, and others handle troubleshooting and bigger swaps, while Jacob lays out clear options for aging equipment so homeowners can plan ahead. Tammy coordinates the calls from start to finish, keeping everything moving on schedule for both residential and commercial jobs.

Homeowners keep coming back because the crew responds quick when the AC quits in the middle of summer, explains repairs in plain terms, and sticks to fair pricing without surprises. Communication stays solid from the first call through job wrap-up, and the work holds up with proper cleanup and attention to detail on every install or fix. That steady record of speed, solid results, and honest dealings adds up across hundreds of jobs in the region. DIRT Score 5.0 from 726 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

From the initial call to job completion (AC installation both inside & outside units as well as duct cleaning & fogging), customer service was at its finest. Tammy, Drake, Brandon, Landyn, Ronnie, Scott & Brooks were all friendly & polite, communicating with me thoroughly & professionally every step of the way. They worked tirelessly in the heat with no complaints. Great company & I would highly recommend!

AC went out on my house The unit was very old. The tech was great and set me up for a new unit install the next day. The installers were great and explained everything they had done and completely cleaned up everything....super job!!!

Very professional tech and installers. Drake and Dustin were great. I’m thankful for their help. Great customer service from all who were involved. Fast response when called to trouble shoot the issue. When it was determined that we needed to replace both the inside and outside units, they helped make the stressful experience easier by getting all the information we required to make a decision that night. Everything was installed two days later and only took part of the day. Will definitely suggest them to friends and family.

Ray, was on time, checked whole unit, found the issue, and got it fixed. He also was careful not to bring dirty inside the house removing his boots. Beside that since my AC is old, Jacob gave me others options in well explained quotes for me to considerate in the future. Good job guys!!

I read your response to Travis J review. If your response is accurate, please provide Travis with the recorded conversation you stated would be emailed to him. I was present today when you promised to send that recording. However, after seeing Travis’s review detailing his experience, you contacted him and declined to provide it. During that call, Travis clearly stated that if the recording demonstrates the technician explained that he would have additional out-of-pocket costs, he would remove his review. Despite this, you still refused to send the recording. This raises the question of resolution. If there is time to review customer feedback, respond publicly, contact the customer, and dispute the issue, it is unclear why there is not time to send the recording that you claim supports your position. That recording has been presented as proof that the technician made no error and that the misunderstanding was solely the customer’s responsibility. From an outside perspective, this handling of the situation appears questionable. A fair and reasonable resolution would have been to charge for the service call and refund the remaining balance. New customers are not aware of your fees, policies, or procedures unless they are clearly disclosed in advance. This situation gives the appearance of a bait-and-switch and could reasonably be viewed as a deceptive business practice. Travis has stated that if the recording shows he was at fault, he is willing to remove all reviews. Additionally, the owner acknowledged hearing the call and understanding where the miscommunication occurred. Given that acknowledgment, it is unclear why some responsibility and compromise cannot be accepted.
