About

Campac Eco Air runs HVAC work out of McAllen, Texas. They put in new central air systems, handle replacements, and keep older units running through the long hot seasons that hit South Texas hard. Homeowners reach out when ducts need cleaning or repair, when thermostats stop working right, or when it is time to swap out old R-22 equipment for something more efficient. The outfit covers full heating maintenance and installs ductless mini splits along with standard repairs. They focus on straightforward jobs that match what the house actually needs rather than pushing extras.

Their crew shows up ready to remove old systems and set new ones like Carrier Infinity units in place. Technicians such as Chris come out, look at the setup, explain the price steps between different models, and stick to the work that fixes the problem without adding costs. One job involved taking out two aging units and putting in fresh ones while making sure the airflow and controls lined up properly. Another crew went through an entire house that had constant hot and cold spots from the prior equipment, checked every connection, and left the place balanced. They clean vents, tune up whole systems, and walk through what each option does before any tools come out.

Customers keep pointing to the same things that set the results apart. The work stays honest, the crew explains choices clearly, and nothing gets rushed or half done. Folks note the attention to how the system actually runs once it is finished and the fact that the price matches the scope without surprises. Speed on the install and follow-up communication after the fact show up again and again in the feedback. DIRT Score 5.0 from 188 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

Here’s who you want to hire! I needed a new air conditioner, so I did my research to find the top five HVAC installers within a 10-mile radius of my home in Buda, Texas. These folks came in at number two in an extended search using multiple platforms. The number one’s price was higher than Eco Air Conditioning and Heating’s, so of course I chose ECO. But that wasn’t the only reason—the owner (Matt) was so thorough in explaining the process and addressing my main concerns without taking advantage of them. Instead of adding thousands of dollars to the job like others did, the owner of this wonderful company said the issues I had shouldn’t be a problem. He suggested we could add on the other items (which the others had marked up dramatically) after installing—if needed— after the installation. Matt, was so correct about this that it prompted me to write this review—simply because he was so honest in his approach and absolutely right. The issues I was concerned with were resolved with just the standard air conditioner replacement and didn’t need all the extra add-ons. Matt had someone at the house the same day to look things over, and this person was a wealth of information. They scheduled the job according to my needs and showed up at the home at the exact time stated. He gave me a half-hour scheduling window and ended up arriving with all the new equipment right on time. They installed a two-stage Carrier 3-ton system with an amazing warranty, and I couldn’t be happier with my choice of Eco.

Eco Air Conditioning did a great job removing two old R-22 systems and replacing them with new Carrier Infinity systems. They took the time to understand what I was looking for in a new system and quoted me different price levels, and explained a bit about what you get at the different levels. They did one unit per day so that I was never completely without HVAC. I had a few small things for them to look at after the install and they kept working with me until I was happy. Some parts of the install were in hard to reach areas of my house, but they got the work done and showed me pictures of their work. My new systems are amazingly quiet. With summer here, I'm using about 20% less energy than I did before and I'm happy to now have the latest technology and refrigerant, should I need service.

Can’t recommend the Eco Air team enough! They were professional, honest, and informative on what new HVAC system to get. Their crew was very thorough with their work and the attention to detail shows. We used to experience tons of heating/cooling issues with our home from our old system. The Eco Air team quickly addressed our main source of the problem and we are extremely happy with our new system.

Chris was great to work with! He’s not only on the sales side but has previously worked as one of the technicians for AC units and when he came out to our house he knew exactly what we needed and didn’t. He did not try to sell us more than what we needed either. I love Eco air! When they installed our new ac unit everything went smooth. Our old one was 16 years old and our electric bills were high. I’m so thankful we got a knew one through this company. They are very trustworthy and good people.

The A/C unit in our second floor went out and I needed it fixed quickly. I called Eco Air on a Monday morning and they were able to get there a couple of hours later. I had looked at it myself and thought it might be the capacitor or the blower motor, but Matt and Caleb came out and found it was just a clogged condensation line that was setting off the float switch. They cleared the line and also did the same for my other unit, and were done before noon. They also told me what I needed to do to keep the line from being clogged, and the price for the whole thing was very reasonable. I’ve used a number of HVAC companies in my home and business location, but I will be calling these guys first going forward – great job!
