Joshua Krolak A/C & Heating
HVAC Contractor · Boerne, TX
About
Joshua Krolak A/C & Heating runs its operation out of Boerne, Texas and focuses strictly on HVAC work for homes in the area. The crew handles both heating and cooling equipment for local properties where summer heat and occasional winter dips put steady demands on systems. No extra details on founding or special certifications turned up in the records, so the outfit sticks to straightforward service calls and installations that match what Boerne homeowners face with their ductwork and units. They show up with the tools needed for diagnostics and repairs rather than pushing unnecessary add-ons.
Technicians carry out full replacements on aging HVAC setups after first measuring every room to build accurate floor plans and running Manual J calculations to size the new equipment right. They also respond to breakdowns such as motors failing on units only a few months old, though parts availability can stretch timelines on weekends. One job involved a quick explanation of the fixes performed followed by a callback a couple days later to confirm the system stayed stable. Dependable crews stick to the schedule they set and avoid cutting corners on the duct connections or electrical checks during these visits.
Homeowners often mention the clear explanations during service and the follow-through on promised timelines as strong points that keep jobs moving without repeated calls. Speed on regular maintenance and quality of the finished work draw consistent approval when the crew arrives as scheduled. At the same time some report delays or no answer on after-hours emergencies when a critical part fails. That mix of results across the jobs shapes the final mark they carry. What Customers Say
“Service was really good! They were super nice, informative and quick. He explained to me what they did and someone called a couple days after to make sure everything was going okay.”
“It was time to replace our 19 year-old HVAC. After getting quotes from several companies I decided on Houk. The experience was completely different. The first thing they did was carefully measure all rooms and create a floor plan. Then they did something called a Manual J assessment. I have no idea what that is but my online research said it was important when choosing the right equipment. They also inspected my ceiling vents and replaced one. We had a humidity problem and actually had to run a portable dehumidifier to keep the humidity below 60%. Houk put an extra return air vent in our bedroom. Everything works perfectly. The house stays cool no matter what the temperature outside might be and our indoor humidity is a comfortable 50% with no added dehumidifier. We are very happy with our new air conditioner and Houk!”
“This is by far the worst AC company!!! I called the after hours emergency phone number and no one responded!! My 4 month old AC unit motor went out and now the part isn’t even in and no one knows when it’s coming and guess what it’s the weekend!!! I would not recommend using this company!!”
“Had Houk A/C come out recently and always do great work. Very dependable guys and always do what they say. Thank you again.”
“Our entire HVAC system is trash. We moved into our house over the summer and it definitely requires a bigger size unit then they put in our home, however nothing was done about it. After multiple guys came out to look at the HVAC system they realized they put our thermostat away from the return air. So in our brannew home, they had to cut holes into the wall to remove the old thermostat. However, even with our new thermostat in our house, the house still will not cool down. They came out multiple more times and did things like balance the system, etc. but our AC still didn’t run like it should in a brand new house. Just a few days ago we decided to use our heater for the first time- all to find out we couldn’t. It was 55 degrees in our house. The guy who came out “fixed it”. 25 mins after he left we couldn’t get our heater to stop running so we had to shut it off completely. The tech couldn’t come back out because he lived an hour away and was almost home. He asked my husband what time the next day would be good and my husband explained that he had to work but he could stay home in the a.m. if he could come back then. He said he would be there first thing in the morning. We did not hear back from them until mid day. In which they didn’t show up until about 6 or 7 PM. They were there for about an hour. Ran new lines, cut holes in our wall and said that the problem was fixed. However, last night when we tried to run the AC and guess what? It wouldn’t work. I called today the 817 number to ask them what is going on because they said everything was fixed and should be ready to work. The lady who answered the phone mentioned that the note said it was raining that day so they couldn’t finish the job and needed to come back out. However, that was never mentioned to us. And just to inform everybody, it was not raining that day. In the note, it says that the Freon isn’t working. This company as a joke and we have missed work 6 to 10 times since August trying to get her HVAC system working correctly.”
