About

Guzman Air handles HVAC work for homeowners across Houston, Texas with a focus on air conditioning and heating systems. They run diagnostics on units that stop cooling properly and provide estimates based on what they find during visits. Common problems in the area include units low on refrigerant or compressors that have failed after years of heavy use in the heat. The company sends technicians to check systems on site and explain what needs fixing before any work begins. Homeowners in Houston often deal with high humidity that puts extra strain on AC equipment so reliable service matters when temperatures climb.

Guzman Air performs checkups on air conditioning units and tests for issues like low freon levels that prevent proper cooling. In one case a technician diagnosed the exact problem during an initial visit and the repair held up as expected. Other jobs involve inspecting compressors that customers report as noisy or ineffective and quoting costs for replacement parts. They also recharge systems when refrigerant has leaked out and confirm the fix before the customer leaves. Work often covers both home HVAC setups and vehicle air conditioning when owners bring cars in for the same symptoms of poor cooling.

Customers give Guzman Air credit for quick on site visits and accurate initial diagnoses that match the final repair needs in some cases. Positive feedback highlights clear explanations of what broke and how much it would cost upfront along with solid results on straightforward fixes. The score reflects steady performance on quality and speed during routine service calls though some reviews note room for improvement on communication and avoiding repeat issues. DIRT Score 4.27 from 93 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

Stopped by for a check up on my ac, they checked it and gave me an estimate and a probable reason for it. Which, it turned out to be the problem. Thank u GA!

I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. A few months ago I went because my AC wasn’t working. I spoke to the individual in charge and he checked the vehicle and stated that it would cost me $300 because it needed freon, which he said he fixed. (3) days ago I went with the same issue and he stated now it would cost me $1,200 to replace the Evaporator since it had severe damage that needed to be treated before. Mind you when I went the first time he stated he fixed a leak and that the car was good to go and no future maintenance was warranted. This dude wouldn’t even work with me after I told him if he knew the problem was going to get worse why wouldn’t he recommend me the appropriate repair instead of just charging $300. This dude just continued about his business and let go of a good client over his failure to properly guide me or give me further advice. I feel this dude just charges to charge and is reckless about diagnosing and having good communication and customer relations.

I went to Guzman's because it was near my house so it was convenient. I took it in and I told them if they could take a look at my vehicle to see why the ac wasn't working. He revised my vehicle and tells me that it's the compressor and that it's gonna be expensive to fix around $600 or $800. I was like wow, that's a lot. I told the guy that checked it that I'll return when I have the money to do it. I go to get in my vehicle and the guy says that'll be $20. I was taken aback by him charging $20 for 5 minutes of his time. I can see $5 maybe $10 but $20, like wow. Well I of course paid and decided to get a second opinion. I took to my vehicle to Treviño's on E 14t street and got there and immediately asked how much do you charge to look at my vehicle's ac? The guy says, "We don't charge for that." So he proceeds to revise my vehicle and says it's an easy fix but it's gonna cost you around $120. So no it wasn't the compressor like Guzman's people claimed. I advise you all to stay away from Guzman's, they're out here overcharging they're low income community and lying to their clients about what's actually broken. Also if you decide to go to Guzman's ask them before they check your vehicle, how much do they charge just to take a look at it. I mean $5 is reasonable but $20? Or better yet just take it to Treviño's they won't charge you to take a look at your vehicle. They also seem like good honest guys who actually want to provide a fair and honest service for it's community. I'm providing this review so my community knows where are the good mechanics in our area who charge a fair price and actually tell you what's actually wrong with your vehicle. Good luck out their and it's im giving you a fair warning about this place.

Extremely bad communication and zero customer service skills. They will definitely try to rip you off. Stay way!

I brought my vehicle to this shop and was presented with two different price quotes for the same issue by the same gentleman who had assisted me before. I will not be coming back.
