About

Juan Garcia runs an HVAC operation based in McAllen, Texas. His focus stays on residential heating and cooling systems that must handle the Rio Grande Valley’s punishing summer heat and humidity. Homeowners here face constant strain on air conditioners from months of high temperatures, which leads to frequent breakdowns and the need for steady maintenance. No other background details appear in the records, so the work centers on practical fixes for local houses dealing with the same weather challenges year after year.

Garcia provides standard HVAC services such as system repairs, routine maintenance, and new installations to keep homes cool when temperatures spike. In McAllen the equipment works overtime, so jobs often involve restoring airflow quickly during the hottest weeks or replacing worn components before total failure. Reviews mention specific complaints from customers like Sam Jonas and Shannon Aguilar about delays in service, poor handling of appointments, and staff attitudes that slowed everything down. Other feedback from Elassowipeo and AMBER SEAY points to problems with efficiency and follow-through on scheduled work, leaving homeowners without timely cooling fixes.

Customers consistently rate the company low across speed, quality, price, and communication, citing unreliable scheduling, abrupt stops in service, and unhelpful responses when issues arose. Multiple reviews describe frustration with how the operation handled ongoing needs and then seemed to abandon commitments without notice. This pattern of feedback from over thirty reviews explains the overall standing. DIRT Score 2.01 from 31 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

I moved away in March, 2023 and when I left he still had the office in Harlingen where my grandfather was going for healthcare. I too was one of Dr. Garcia’s patients now losing over 100 pounds since moving to Austin and not going to his practice. Dr. Garcia is definitely an excellent doctor but his staff was terrible. Today I had to call the Brownsville office to locate some medical records I need and no one has even returned my calls or completed the task.

While Dr. Garcia himself is great, his staff is horrible. Starting from the receptionist always have a sour attitude, to lack in efficiency of managing their patient visits, to filling out prescriptions on time(with days of advance notice), to not sending out the referrals to get the medical services patients need. Dr. Garcia has been our families physician for the last 10 years, however, the lack of quality staff has made me consider looking for another practice. He's Brownsville staff is on point, wish Harlingen staff was. If google would allow me to leave a negative point value I would.

NEVER EVER! In 2019, Dr Juan Garcia was recommended to me by a colleague. I went in for diabetes management. Blood work was done and I was asked to be a on strict protein & veggie. No problem. He also put me on Metformin, Ozempic, some heart medication for prevention, and farxiga. I had a reaction within day 1 of taking meds. Called the office & staff said I just needed to get use to medication. Trusting the nurse, I continued. Third day, I was having difficulty keeping anything down (including water), elevated heart rate, short quick breaths, and I was so pale my school colleagues noticed I was sick. I finally called back in and nurse finally said to go to ER. I went and I was diagnosed with Diabetic ketoacidosis. I was transferred to VBMC as HMC didn't accept my insurance. When I was being prepped for my room at VBMC they asked who my PCP was & mentioned doctor above and they all looked at me & said "Oh, he don't practice here no more" My thoughts were OMG 😲. Well not to long after, I went into a small diabetic coma. I was intubated and on life support for 4 days. I still have all medical records. NOT ONCE DID DR JUAN GARCIA GO VISIT OR CALL ME TO CHECK UP ON ME!!

My family was with Dr. Garcia for over 20 yrs. He was a good Dr. , as far as South Texas goes, I never thought he would abandon his practice this way. Anyone know a good lawyer? This is what's called "Dr. abandonment" and is very illegal. Unprofessional is an understatement, but that is what this is. I personally know people under his care with cancer, that he has left to fend for themselves in finding some form of medical help. Good luck to all!

Dr Garcia is very polite and professional. On the other hand the older lady receptionist in front is very and I mean extremely Rude not just to me but to many other patients as well! She treats the elderly patients with a very bad attitude to the point where many in the waiting room sigh in disappointment. Everytime the phone rings she picks it up and hangs it back up never answers. I've seen her do it in person! It's making me rethink my choice of moving.
