Dave'S Heating & Air Conditioning

Dave's Heating & Air Conditioning runs its operation right out of Calabasas, Texas and sticks strictly to HVAC work for houses in the region. Texas weather swings hard between cold snaps in winter and long stretches of intense summer heat that push air conditioning systems to their limits every year. Local homes often face extra strain from dust buildup and constant use that wears down components faster than in milder climates. The crew keeps things direct by focusing on repairs, replacements, and routine checks that match what actually breaks down in this part of the state.

They handle full HVAC services including fixing units that stop cooling properly during peak heat, installing new systems when old ones fail, and tuning equipment to run steady through both seasons. Technicians show up to diagnose issues like weak airflow or odd noises that signal compressor trouble or clogged filters common in dusty Texas conditions. Work gets done by addressing the exact problem on site rather than pushing unnecessary add ons, and they cover everything from emergency calls when a system quits mid summer to regular maintenance that prevents bigger breakdowns later. Homeowners get clear explanations on what needs fixing and how long it should hold up afterward.

Customers keep coming back because the crew shows up on time, sorts out the job without dragging it out, and charges rates that line up with the actual work completed instead of inflated extras. Reviews highlight solid communication on timelines and costs along with quality fixes that hold through the worst weather swings. Speed matters when the heat builds fast and quality shows in units that last without repeat visits. DIRT Score 3.76 from 22 reviews on Finds.

“I called Dave after noticing water coming from my AC secondary drain pipe. Dave personally answered the phone, took the time to talk through the possible issues with me and was very upfront about the cost before coming out. Dave and Daniel came out, diagnosed a clogged condensate drain and flushed the line with CO2. They also explained how my AC drain is connected through one of our bathroom sinks so I know exactly what to look for in the future. Really nice guys, honest, knowledgeable and no attempt to upsell me on anything I didn’t need. The price was exactly what Dave quoted me on the phone. It’s not always easy finding someone you feel you can trust with HVAC work, but I will definitely call Dave’s again and highly recommend them.”

“I contacted Dave because I was having issues with my air conditioning. He responded promptly, listened carefully to all of my concerns, and was able to schedule a visit for the very next day. Jerry and Daniel arrived the following morning and took the time to thoroughly inspect every part of the system. They stayed long enough to ensure everything was operating properly and worked diligently to identify any potential issues. What impressed me most was their honesty. After a careful inspection, they explained that they did not see any problems with the unit at that time and recommended that I call them the next time the issue occurs so they can evaluate it while it’s happening. I truly appreciated their integrity and transparency. Another company had told me that I needed a completely new system at a cost of approximately $14,000, so it was refreshing to receive an honest assessment rather than a sales pitch. I was extremely satisfied with the service, professionalism, and care they provided. I would not hesitate to contact them again in the future for any air conditioning concerns and highly recommend them to others.”

“These guys are great. I had another guy I thought I trusted to do my AC work and I started to question what he was doing so I called Dave and his son to come out and take a look. They figured out the problem quick and fixed it for a very reasonable price. (the other guy said I needed a new unit) They also do the work correctly. No one wants to spend a lot of money on these kinds of things but you want the job done right. These guys don't overcharge and they do the job right. I couldn't recommend them more. They have a new customer in me for sure.”

“I experienced a leak in my heating and air unit, and Dave responded promptly to address the issue. He demonstrated honesty and professionalism throughout the process and, unlike many other companies, did not attempt to upsell me on a new unit simply because mine is older. I greatly appreciate his integrity and highly recommend his services.”

“These guys are awesome. Our home's heat went out during the rains and temperature dropped to 40 degrees. Got a quote from a competitor and they couldn't figure out what was wrong so they recommended replacing the whole furnace which would be very expensive. Called Daves and they were over in 48 hours and he ran into the same complex heating issue as the last HVAC tech. BUT, instead of throwing out the whole furnace, they got on the phone with the manufacturer for hours and replaced one part and we were able to reheat our home. these dudes are lifesavers and highly recommended!”
