About

Mission Restaurant Supply Co operates out of San Antonio, TX, with a clear focus on HVAC work for restaurants and commercial kitchens. The crew handles cooling systems and refrigeration units that break down in busy food operations, where the Texas heat puts constant pressure on equipment that must stay running. They locate parts and units that match the space and load needs of each kitchen, dealing directly with owners who keep places open every day and cannot afford long shutdowns. Local spots have relied on them for steady upkeep and sudden fixes that stretch over a year or more when regular service and emergency calls pile up at once.

They manage freezer replacements and full equipment checks by sending techs such as Mark Olvera, who goes over different models and matches them to the layout at hand. Josh and Nicki keep in contact after the first call, tracking stock and getting the right gear in place so the kitchen does not sit idle. When a unit fails they hunt for available stock across the region, lay out the install steps in plain terms, and stay on the line with the owner until the place runs again without lost time or spoiled product. Paolo De Leon has worked with them continuously for over a year on these jobs, while Pride Armstrong reached out when every freezer in the area was gone and got options explained on the spot.

Customers return because the crew moves fast on quotes and parts, gives straight talk on costs, and sticks with every order from start to finish. Reviews highlight reliable results on commercial jobs where timing decides whether sales get lost, even when stock gets tight in the region. The pattern holds across dozens of restaurant calls where speed and follow-through matter most. DIRT Score 4.29 from 40 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

I've been continuously working with Mission Restaurant Supply for over a year and have had nothing but great experiences with them. Josh and Nicki have been a tremendous help with my business and every interaction has been smooth. Consistently following up with me, recommending me the right equipment, and finding a good price point - they can do it all!

We are not a restaurant, so perhaps that is what affected our service there. I am a hobby chef and foodie, so I like to visit kitchen stores to get some items I can't get anywhere else (and for cheaper). However, This place is chaos. The aisles are stuffed with items, nothing seems very organized, and it was very hard to physically walk around in the store to find what I needed. When I went to check out, the guy pushed really hard for me to open an account with them (divulging phone, email, address, credit, etc). I repeatedly told him no, that I was just a casual purchaser. He tried telling me his system wouldn't run my debit card without an account open. Finally, I had to flat out refuse to open an account. Lo and behold, it ran my card just fine! Shocker. I will NOT be returning here.

Recently my freezer went out. I soon found out that along with a run on toiletries? Every freezer in the DFW metroplex had been bought up. Not even a used one was available in the size I needed. After an online search I contacted Mark Olvera at Mission. He explained the different options and though it was a commercial unit it would serve my needs. I did have to drive down to Houston to pick it up. It was more of a time thing. As the cost of delivery was very reasonable. However I didn’t want to wait the extra day. I have nothing but good things to say about Mark and the whole team at Mission.

Do not shop here if you want to successfully operate your business. The small supply stuff is priced well but they do not value your business. They will lie to you to earn your business and then avoid you when you try to call. Even when they know they messed up and cost your business sales they will do nothing to help fix the problem or keep your business. This place doesn't understand customer service which is the most important part of running a restaurant business.

I'm a regular customer of this location and once Mission took over this place last year the difference is night and day. Great customer service, knowledgeable people and a great selection of anything you would need in a restaurant - even used equipment.
