About

Honest Repair Service AC & Heating works out of Dallas and covers the DFW area with straightforward HVAC work. They have handled heating and cooling jobs for more than ten years as a licensed contractor under TACLB 33264E. The crew runs calls Monday through Saturday from early morning into evening and focuses on homes plus small businesses across Dallas and Fort Worth neighborhoods. Their approach sticks to clear diagnostics and straight pricing instead of pushing extra work. Homeowners in North Texas deal with heavy summer loads and occasional winter freezes, so the company handles both routine checks and emergency fixes on existing units without always calling for full replacements.

They perform repairs on air conditioning and heating systems, annual maintenance visits, and new equipment installs suited to local weather. One long-time customer named Scott Silverman noted a June service call where technician Naser arrived on schedule, moved quickly through the checks, and covered everything thoroughly during what was supposed to be a standard annual tune-up. Other jobs have included fixing zone boards on recently installed units and responding to systems that shut down during storms. The technicians evaluate what is actually broken first, then quote the repair cost before any parts are ordered or work begins, which keeps the process direct for the homeowner.

Customers give mixed marks on speed and follow-through, with some praising clear explanations from techs like Naser while others report long waits for callbacks, repeated service visits on new installs, and pressure toward larger jobs instead of simple fixes. Price feedback varies because some calls stayed affordable but others led to frustration over warranty disputes on parts like zone boards. Quality holds up on basic maintenance yet drops when new systems fail soon after installation. Communication gets credit for honesty in good cases but draws complaints when delays stretch out. What Customers Say

I've been doing business with Honest Air Conditioning and Plumbing for several years-- purchasing/ installation and Annual service. Each interaction has been exceptional-- including the most recent service, June 9th-- by Naser. He was on time, fast and absolutely thorough-- Looking forward to next time.

Honest AC installed our system nine years ago. I left them a five-star review after that. We use them extensively over the years for service calls and the occasional repair and always like dealing with them. That has dramatically changed and I will no longer refer anyone to them. In fact, I would strongly encourage anyone reading this not to use these guys. My system stopped blowing air Saturday morning. I found a different company who could get someone out within the hour to check it out. They diagnosed it as a failed indoor blower motor. They said their cost on that replacement part is $1,800, but before I had them do the work, I should check with the company that installed the system because if they did their job after the install, and registered my system with Trane, the manufacturer, then that part would be covered by a 10-year warranty. We installed the system nine years and six months ago. I called Honest AC Monday morning and guess what? They never bothered to register the system! So my warranty expired four and a half years ago. So now I'm on the hook for the part. Their warranty manager apologized up and down and said she talked to a manager and they would offer a 40% discount on the repair since they screwed up the warranty. I asked what my cost would then be and when they could do this repair. She said she'd find out. That call was Monday morning. I didn't hear anything back until Tuesday around 10. They left me hanging for over 24 hours with a house with no heat during the winter. The tech finally received the estimate from their headquarters and it's ridiculous. They're claiming that the cost of the part is not $1,800. It's $3,000. and after their discount, they would charge me roughly the same amount that the company from Saturday was going to charge. There is no way I'm going to use Honest AC for this or anything else ever again. They don't communicate. They don't stand behind their work. They did nothing to make this right. They lied about the cost of the part, and when I tried to call, I discovered that they have an AI bot that answers calls, and it was literally impossible to speak to anyone in their office. These guys used to be good. Now, they absolutely suck. Stay awake.

We bought a brand new AC unit from this company two years ago. It went out during a storm. We called for service & they couldn’t come out for two days. The initial tech who came out, looked at it for all of a few minutes and said it was the electric panel. Their electrician came out a few hours later and said the panel was fine, it was the unit. By the end of the day we found it it was the compressor & would need to pay $2400 on a two year old unit to have it fixed. Five days later, we received a phone call saying it would be about three days before the part came in. After four days we called to check the status and were told it wasn’t in yet but should be there (this was a Friday) by Monday & an appointment was set to fix the AC Monday. It is now Monday & we were told that they have NO idea where the part is that we need. We are still waiting for AC, almost two weeks later! I’ve gone down to a one star review from a two star. It has officially been two weeks without an AC and they still cannot locate the part needed that should have been installed yesterday.

Terrible experience from start to finish. They installed a brand‑new AC that constantly fails, and every time it breaks they push upsells instead of fixing the problem. The zone board has been replaced twice, yet they still claim it’s “not under warranty.” We’ve had endless service calls with no real solution. Monica in the office is no help, she keeps repeating that the GM can only offer 15% off, while the company continues charging customers for their own mistakes. Our AC went out in the middle of the Texas summer, leaving our dogs overheated. This company calls itself “Honest,” but there’s nothing honest about them. No integrity, no accountability, just sales over service

Avoid this company at all costs. They installed a brand‑new AC that constantly breaks down and, instead of fixing their mistakes, they try to upsell unnecessary services. They replaced the zone board twice but still claimed it wasn’t covered under warranty, leaving us with endless service calls and zero accountability. During the brutal Texas summer, our AC failed and our dogs overheated, an absolutely terrible experience. There is nothing honest about “Honest”; it’s all sales over service. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere.
