“I want to share my experience with Hendels. They have been doing my annual heater and A/C maintenance for about 5 years now. I find them to be extremely honest, fair and trustworthy. I had an experience where I was at my neighbors house when they had A/C maintenance done by another company. I listened to the long list of recommendations that company had for my neighbors system. The list was extensive to the amount of about $25,000. They needed new insulation, numerous parts all the way to a new system. I find it very hard to believe that a home right next door built 7 years ago, same size house, same system had that much wrong with it. I have never had that experience with Hendels. He was polite, congenial and most important, knowledgeable. He checked all the necessary areas, attic (air handler) and outside unit. He answered my questions re the temperature gage settings and checked the vents for proper air flow. I appreciated his professionalism.”

“Edit: Follow up to this story. The manager of Hendel's reached out and offered a refund (which I appreciated). However, I had a different tech from a different company come out and all that was needed was some minimal wire changes in the attic (no new wire installed - just some movement to separate and some changes to help with the color mismatch). Ultimately, while I'm glad it got fixed, it did want me to come back and reiterate that given the fix, I don't think the original assessment was thorough / the bid was reasonable. I paid $140 for a diagnostic visit to address a low power error on a Nest thermostat. The issue was not resolved during the visit, and I was told the existing low-voltage wiring might be causing feedback and that a new thermostat wire would need to be run. During the ”

“Spent 14k for two units from Hendels and had them come out every year to do the inspections. After a fee years my compressor on one of our condensors starting making a lot of noise. I was told that was normal and the women I spoke with even said hers does the same. If that were normal wouldn't it have done it from day one? They said the only fix was a new compressor but it's under warranty right? Technically yes but it still will cost $2200 to pay for freon!!! It doesn't need freon, they should be evac and recharging the freon. For those that dont know AC systems are a closed system and should not need freon unless there is a leak. Mine does not have a leak. So essentially they want to charge me for my own freon. UNACCEPTABLE. We also had a lot of problems during install with the the ”
