Story Heating And Air

Story Heating And Air operates as a straightforward HVAC outfit based in Chico, TX. They handle heating and air conditioning work across the area with over twelve years behind them. The crew takes on full HVAC services including repairs and installs for both cooling and heating systems plus duct and dryer vent cleaning along with indoor air quality jobs. Emergency calls get handled without delay so homeowners avoid sitting in discomfort when systems fail during peak seasons. Common issues in this region involve units struggling against temperature swings and dust buildup from local conditions that clog filters and vents fast. They keep things moving with direct service calls and basic maintenance that prevents bigger breakdowns later.

Their daily work covers air conditioning repair and service along with full installations for new setups or replacements when old units give out. Evaporative coolers get attention too in drier stretches plus heating repair and installation for winter months when furnaces run nonstop. Duct cleaning removes buildup that affects airflow and dryer vent work stops fire risks from lint accumulation. Indoor air quality improvements come through filter upgrades and system tweaks that homeowners request after noticing stuffy rooms or higher energy bills. Jobs often start with a quick assessment on site then move to parts swaps or full system overhauls depending on the age and condition of the equipment. This approach keeps costs down by fixing what can be saved instead of pushing unnecessary replacements every time.

Customers stick with this crew because the work holds up under real use without constant callbacks and the pricing stays reasonable compared to bigger outfits that add layers of overhead. Speed matters when a unit quits on the hottest day and the team shows up ready with tools and parts to get airflow back fast. Quality shows in clean finishes on installs and steady performance after service visits while communication stays clear on timelines and options without extra sales pressure. These steady results across dozens of jobs build the track record that puts them ahead of less reliable options. DIRT Score 4.06 from 31 reviews on Finds.

“Bill Story is outstanding and did a great job with our Bryant HVAC system that has a very complex Honeywell master control panel; we highly recommend him as well as Terry his office manager/dispatcher. It was a very complicated job due to several stages of our system had failed, part of which had even been installed backwards by another company, but Bill expertly did all the right diagnostics, troubleshooting and repairs that ended up saving us several thousand dollars as other companies wanted to sell us a whole new unit. This was a great experience with a great company that has become so rare these days.”

“My husband and I have gone through Bill at Story Heating & Air for about five years now. He is kind, professional, affordable, and great at his job! He has been dubbed our HVAC guy now. Terri who works in the office is also great and keeps you up to date with work being done or appointments. Story Heating & Air is our go to for all HVAC and I highly recommend!”

“We went round and round with several companies that were referred by our home warranty policy, they were just awful. So glad we decided to search on our own, we found Story Heating and Air! Bill Story found the problem immediately, gave us a quote BETTER than if we had used our warranty plan! Honest, affordable, good communication, excellent service. He installed a state of the art AC system that has saved us 100+ dollars per month. We wouldn't use any other company in Chico, call Story!”

“Bill at Story nursed my old unit along until it was time for a new one - always there for me fair and reasonable. Story had the best bid for a new Bryant Unit setup to give me maximum performance for minimum utility costs. Bill installed it and even threw in the latest version of an internet thermostat. Story Heating and Air has been my go to for years - new unit is working as promised - more comfort for less cost. Straight talk, great product and good people!”
