“My best friend from Leander/Cedar Park recommended Gonzalo because he had the most competitive rates and he was honest about his work - he won't upsell you something you don't need. I trust my best friend because he rents outs 3 houses and I believe he's hired Gonzalo a couple times already. From the get-go, Gonzalo was very honest and respectful. I needed my 22 year-old roof replaced and also was wanting some gutters all around my roof. I contacted him around April and during that time, some other company quoted me an exorbitant amount of 47k JUST for the roof. I can go on about how scummy and scam-like that company is but suffice to say that was the most expensive offer. Around the time I contacted Gonzalo, it has been raining a lot so I did find some leaks. There was one in particular that I tried patching myself as a temporary fix since I was going on an international trip for a couple weeks so I wouldn't and didn't want to have work done while I was out. I tried climbing my roof but I just was not built for it. I got all the way up but didn't trust myself with all the equipment. He was understanding and offered to have it patched by someone for a very reasonable fee (basically at cost to him) on the same weekend I asked. Eventually when I got back, I ask for a discount since I was not going through insurance and it was going to be all out of pocket for me. We eventually settled on a price and he was again very reasonable on pricing as I was asking for gutter covers as well. So for a great price, he replaced my roof (and everything that comes with it like the exhausts and pipes), my gutters (and install more to surround my whole house, and gutter covers. The roof is level 3 impact resistant and is Owens Corning TruDefinition Duration Peppercorn with SureNail technology roofing shingles. His crew, after the work was done, cleaned up the surroundings very well basically with a fine tooth comb (screenshot provided). Buddy even helped me file the correct paperwork to update my roof's age with my insurance so I can get my premium back and repriced properly. He even replaced a couple front siding that was rotting on his own dime. Technically not part of the roof but he brought it upon himself to change it. It's in one of the videos I posted. He also replaced 2 rotting roof decking as part of the roof replacement. All of the photos I posted were of everything during and AFTER the roof change. Right now, he is giving me a quote to replace my fence, install a roof exhaust (attic is just way too hot at 130 degrees for 90 degree ambient outside temp), and a GFCI plug installation in one of my guest bathrooms. TLDR: highly recommend considering Gonzalo aka Morning Star for your home renovation work.”
