I had been a customer of Air Solutions Air Conditioning & Heating in Corpus Christi for about 10 years. During that time I always paid every invoice on time and never had any issues. Recently my AC compressor failed and needed to be replaced under warranty. While the compressor itself was covered, the final billing process was very frustrating. The initial diagnostic visit was billed at $167.50. After that I received another invoice totaling $1,349.98 for the compressor replacement. The invoice included labor, refrigerant, and several additional line items such as nitrogen, vacuum, welds, and trip charges. The refrigerant charge alone was $520. After paying $1,298.22 toward the repair, I continued receiving additional payment requests and convenience fees through the online payment system. In total, replacing a warranty compressor still ended up costing over $1,400. I understand that labor and materials cost money, but after being a loyal customer for many years I expected more transparency and a clearer explanation of the charges. I did pay the invoices, but unfortunately this experience changed my decision about using this company in the future. I would recommend that other customers ask for a full estimate and detailed explanation of all charges before proceeding with repairs.”
