Interstate Refrigeration & A/C
HVAC Contractor · Corpus Christi, TX
About
Interstate Refrigeration & A/C works out of Sinton right in San Patricio County, Texas, and covers HVAC jobs across that county plus Live Oak and Nueces. They handle air conditioning, heating, refrigeration, and commercial refrigeration service and repair for homes and businesses in the area. The crew at 14223 County Road 1334 takes calls for broken cooling units in the heavy coastal heat and humidity that wears systems down fast. Homeowners and shop owners reach them at (361) 442-4962 when units stop working or need attention before summer peaks hit hard.
Technicians show up for after-hours calls when an AC quits at night, arriving first thing the next morning to check problems such as bad control boards that some quotes pegged near nine hundred fifty dollars. They fix the cooling issue and have it running by late morning in many cases, while taking time to explain the cause in plain terms so the owner follows what happened. The same crew assesses heating troubles and returns with quotes, though follow-up on next steps can stretch out in some jobs. Commercial refrigeration repairs and regular service calls round out the work they do on units that run nonstop in local restaurants and shops.
Customers note the quick arrival and fixes that get air moving again without long delays, along with straightforward talk that leaves no guesswork on repairs. Speed stands out in emergency breakdowns, quality shows in complete resolutions, and communication earns marks when techs walk through the details clearly, though price questions come up when diagnostics run long. These points add up across the feedback. DIRT Score 4.56 from 70 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say
“This was my first time using Interstate Refrigeration & Air Conditioning LLC and it will absolutely be the last time. Their technician wasted almost 2 hours on a “diagnosis” and told me my control board was bad, pushing me toward a $950+ replacement quote. I got a second opinion and the real problem was the water inlet valve and water assembly line, which cost under $400 to fix. My ice machine has been running perfectly for 10 days since then. If I had trusted Interstate, I would have spent nearly a thousand dollars on the wrong part and STILL had a broken machine — only to be charged again later for the real issue. That is blatant incompetence at best and feels like a rip-off at worst. When I called to explain what actually fixed the problem, their customer service (Heather) was rude, dismissive, and tried to blame me instead of owning up to their technician’s mistake. No refund, no accountability, no professionalism. ⚠️ Save yourself the headache: don’t trust this company. They misdiagnose, overcharge, and treat customers with zero respect. Always get a second opinion because companies like this will happily take your money without fixing the problem.”
“Our first experience, and the after-hours on-call service was excellent. The technician responded promptly, was professional, courteous, and thorough. Their knowledge and expertise were evident throughout the service. Highly recommend”
“Came home to a broken A/C at 830 PM, Interstate was at our home 8AM the following morning and issue fixed by 1130 AM. I am grateful for their quick response, knowledge and expertise. Gentleman took the time to explain to me what the issue was (in a way that I clearly understood) and even advised me on proper maintenance frequency and what kind of filters are best suited for my home environment. Could not recommend this company enough, to anyone who finds themselves in need of their services!”
“Great reviews but obviously they are just customers being taken care of. This company came out to assess our cooling issue on October 3, 2022. The tech said when leaving they would get back with us on what needed to be done and a quote. Nov 3… a month later I contacted them to see what was going on. I was informed the service manager was waiting on pricing to work up our quote and they would get back with us. December 26,2022 we have not heard out of anyone. I have contacted a couple other A/C companies and it’s not a lack of parts so this situation must be an issue in management and a lack of taking care of customers!”
“Very knowledgeable, had a lot of stuff in their car, needly organized in shelves. Because of that, he could switch out our bad thermostat for a new one right away. I would definitely recommend this company and call them again, if I need repair.”
