About

Mercury Air Conditioning handles HVAC work across Ellis County, Texas, including areas around Waxahachie where Wayne Price Heating & Air Conditioning has operated. The crew deals with the demands of Texas summers that push systems hard for months on end, keeping homes cool when temperatures climb. They focus on straightforward repairs and maintenance for residential air conditioning units, drawing from hands-on experience in the local market without unnecessary extras or delays.

Steve Sparks shows up for line repairs on A/C systems and reuses old fittings when possible to save time and cost while getting the line running right again. He has walked customers through recharging questions over the phone after the job. Other calls involve fixing leaks in lines that feed rear cooling sections on vans or similar setups, where dealers claimed welding was required but the team found simpler fixes. Quick counter service gets parts made on the spot in under ten minutes, and the shop stays open late even on busy holiday weekends like Memorial Day to handle urgent cooling problems before they worsen.

Customers keep coming back because the work gets done fast without overcharging and the crew explains options clearly upfront. Reviews highlight reliable fixes that hold up, reasonable pricing on parts and labor, and technicians who stay resourceful when parts are scarce or jobs run into complications. Communication stays direct from the first call through completion. DIRT Score 4.02 from 16 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

Steve Sparks is fast and resourceful reasonable and reliable! He repaired an A/C line for me. We had to reuse one of the old fittings. (Saved time and Money) Line worked Great! He also helped me over the phone with a few questions I had about recharging the A/C system. Will definitely use his service again if ever needed for A/C work! Thank you sir!

I walked in told the man what I needed. He made it right in front of me and I was out the door within 10 minutes. Couldn't ask for better service.

Steve is amazing! We are Winter Texans, and store a 2006 Ford E150 Conversion Van in San Antonio. While there, an RV repair tech found a leak in a line to rear A/C, but he could not repair. We had no clue where to get it fixed. Sames Ford dealer service said it required aluminum welding, which they don't do, and estimated $1,100 to repair. Other mechanics said wait a week just to look at it! Then we found Steve; he said drop by and he would check it! In 10 minutes Steve knew exactly how to fix it, and said he could finish the next day. Next morning it was done, for $345, or one-third of Ford dealer estimate. Steve clearly knows air conditioning, has specialized tools (for aluminum welding), to get the job done right. We highly recommend Steve as honest, reliable, courteous, and experienced.

Hey there, I want to tell you about this place. I was really worried about my car AC with summer around the corner. I just came into town with my family, it's a Friday on Memorial Day weekend, and the shop closes at 5:30. We showed up at 5:07. The shop owner was already busy working on another vehicle. I got down and the shop owner greeted me. To make a long story short, he made time to check my car AC after he finished work on the other vehicle; and even though, it was after 5:30. He could of easily told me to come back next week but he didn't. Talk about great customer service! Steve, Thank You for your time, service, and advice. You showed great character and we really appreciate it Sir!!

We (my boyfriend via phone) took our vehicle in to Steve Sparks & he told us without a doubt the compressor was locked up & we also need a new condenser. He specifically told my boyfriend “I’ve been doing this longer than you’ve been alive. I know for certain it’s the compressor.” I was quoted around $1000 for the cost of the fix. Skeptical we decided to try & take the vehicle to another shop in Aransas Pass where we were told it’s a small leak that’s an easy fix. This shop fixed the problem for $125 & I was on my way. I’ve been driving my vehicle now for 5 days with cold AC. Buyer beware!!! Always get a second or third opinion.
