About

Dakin George W operates as an HVAC contractor out of Fort Worth Texas handling heating and cooling work for homes across the area. They focus on Daikin equipment including the FIT line for energy efficient performance in both new installs and replacements. Local weather brings long hot summers that push air conditioners hard along with occasional winter cold snaps that require reliable furnace output. Homeowners here often deal with high humidity uneven temperatures and the need to upgrade older window units or tackle additions like garage conversions where ductwork and airflow must be planned right from the start.

Their work covers full system replacements when repair costs pile up along with fixes for hot and cold spots or excess moisture that makes indoor air uncomfortable. Technicians handle smart thermostat setups and indoor air quality improvements while addressing concerns like warranty registration and product safety notices that some owners receive months after purchase. Jobs range from loading and site prep delays reported by customers to larger efforts supporting community growth with thousands of local jobs tied to the brand. Fort Worth properties often need attention to rebates and financing options to keep costs down during remodels or when switching from less efficient units.

Review feedback shows mixed results on communication around warranties and product updates with some owners waiting extended periods for resolutions or facing restrictions on use. Price and quality draw comments on both the technology investment in Texas facilities and occasional service holdups like trailer loading times at facilities. Speed varies based on the job complexity while overall consistency sits at an average level across many interactions. DIRT Score 3.77 from 206 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

After weeks of researching HVAC systems for my Houston home, I decided not to choose Daikin Fit. The technology is impressive, but the ownership experience raised too many concerns. The advertised 12-year parts warranty sounds great, yet I discovered that labor coverage is a completely different matter. Several contractors offered only a 1-year labor warranty, while competing systems often came with longer labor coverage. Once that initial labor warranty expires, homeowners can still face substantial repair costs even if replacement parts are covered. I was also disappointed to learn how complicated the extended labor warranty process can be. Instead of dealing directly with the manufacturer, homeowners often have to navigate relationships between Daikin, distributors, and contractors. Getting clear answers about future labor coverage, claim procedures, and long-term repair costs was far more difficult than it should be. Another concern is that Daikin Fit is an inverter-driven system with sophisticated electronics and multiple control boards. While this technology improves efficiency and comfort, it also means more electronic components that may eventually require diagnosis or replacement. Even when parts are covered under warranty, labor charges for troubleshooting and repairs can still be significant. In Houston's extreme heat and humidity, reliability and ease of service matter more to me than having the newest technology. I ultimately decided that I would rather own a more traditional, proven system with fewer electronic components, simpler repairs, and more predictable long-term maintenance costs. Daikin Fit may be the right choice for some homeowners, but after researching warranties, labor coverage, service requirements, and long-term ownership costs, I chose to look elsewhere.

Daikin Comfort Technologies sent me a letter FOUR AND A HALF MONTHS AGO, addressed from the Daikin Texas Technology Park, telling me they sold me an unsafe product. This letter said that I was forbidden from having it plugged in, let alone using it. Three months prior, after months of waiting thanks to product delays, I paid nearly $4,000 for a brand new Daikin (Amana) air conditioner to be installed in my residence. Now, my warranty is running out, and I haven't been able to use it even once! They haven't contacted me since. They refused to voluntarily recall the item and they're playing hardball with the CPSC about it. Via phone, the CPSC has affirmed that it is Daikin's sole responsibility to figure out what is wrong with my line of air conditioners and to promptly administer its resolution. Representatives at the number listed on my letter, however, want me to believe that it's the CPSC's responsibility, and not Daikin's, to have the matter fixed. And yet, they cannot even tell me what is so unsafe about the product I paid for. But oh, if I refuse to wait, "Indefinitely" for Daikin to put its big boy pants on and execute the fix to its unsafe product line, they'll do me the courtesy of sending me a "credit" that only covers the cost of the product and not the cost of installation or the $689 I've spent on the "temporary" hvac device that they demanded I use in the letter they sent me. And of course, that's only if I send them pictures of the power cord chopped to pieces and agree to never have my product repaired. Unreal. Daikin, GET IT TOGETHER. It's been 4.5 months and you haven't even contacted me with an update after you sold me a product so life-threateningly dangerous that you forbid me to even have it plugged in. Furthermore, the product still is not recalled, and this letter you sent (or warnings thereto) aren't available on any of your consumer websites to warn other customers, such as second-hand buyers. Your negligence and flippancy are unacceptable.

Dropped off my trailer 2 hours before loading time. Been here 6 hours and still not loaded, that’s 4 hours after my appoint time. If you load here just do a ten hour reset. But they do have bobtail parking you don’t have to leave. That’s why the 2 stars for the parking.

It’s incredible how much Daikin has invested in its workers and this community. They employ over 8000 folks in TX and has plans for continued growth. Renaming the Astro field was a huge move and show of their commitment to Houston!

Great group of folks at Daikin and top notch a/c plant! Its very nice to see that Daikin has invested in the community and their employees.
