About

Hage Energy operates out of Houston, Texas, as a straight-up HVAC outfit that has handled cooling and heating work across the city for more than thirty years. They cover neighborhoods from the Heights and Montrose to Sugar Land, Katy, and Kingwood, dealing with the brutal Southeast Texas heat, humidity spikes past one hundred degrees, and the wear from hurricane seasons. Their crews focus on homes of every type, from downtown high-rises and lofts to larger estates in Memorial and The Woodlands, installing and maintaining systems built to keep indoor air steady when the outside conditions push hard. Homeowners call them when standard fixes fall short or when old equipment needs practical upgrades that match the actual property.

Their work centers on full HVAC replacements, heat pump installs, attic ventilation with solar fans, spray foam or blown-in insulation, air sealing, and indoor air quality fixes that cut hot spots and high bills. When an AC unit failed mid-summer, the owner answered an after-hours call from Gregory Boyajian and helped sort options instead of leaving the family without cooling for ten days. Raj showed up for John Falco and delivered a clear, detailed assessment that cut through conflicting advice from other shops. Mr. Hadi visited Javier Delpilar, diagnosed why the house stayed warm, and sent multiple repair choices that same night. Rami Tamir noted the same careful selection and install process that protects both comfort and the structure itself.

Customers keep coming back because the techs show up prepared, explain what is wrong without extra pressure, and finish the job right the first time. Reviews highlight fast responses even outside normal hours, honest assessments that avoid upsells, and systems that hold up through Houston summers without constant callbacks. The crews earn steady marks for clear communication on estimates and timelines plus solid results on energy use and airflow. DIRT Score 5.0 from 210 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

Consumer Warning: Deceptive Practices Prospective customers are strongly advised to exercise extreme caution regarding Efficient Air, Air Conditioning & Heating / Efficient Air Texas (which appears to operate interchangeably with Royal Air). My experience with this company was profoundly negative, marked by a critical lack of honesty and a severe breach of trust concerning the installation of a new HVAC system. This review is intended to prevent others from enduring similar deceptive sales practices. Misrepresentation of Equipment During the consultation, I explicitly requested a four-ton unit with a heat pump, a specification consistent with prior professional recommendations. Despite Mr. Rodriguez initially proposing a larger, five-ton unit, we mutually agreed on the four-ton unit and a corresponding price, formalized in a contract dated 08/10/2025. Crucially, Mr. Rodriguez provided a product brochure and circled the area indicating "Air Conditioner or Heat Pump," assuring me the selected unit fulfilled both functions and was dual-purpose. This oral assurance was provided by Mr. Rodriguez. It should be noted that the contract included a section titled "System Enhancements – A More Energy Efficient, Cleaner, Safer & Healthier Home," it is critical to note that a heat pump was not listed anywhere in this section as an extra system enhancement. Furthermore, before installation, I specifically reiterated my requirement for a heat pump, to which Mr. Rodriguez responded with the vague, generic assurance: "It is a 4-ton Carrier horizontal electric heating and cooling." The subsequent system installation lacked the agreed-upon heat pump. This omission was only discovered in November during cold weather when the heating system failed to produce warm air (at 28F), requiring an emergency service call. A tech was not sent out to assist with resolving my issue of no heat for four days. The technician confirmed the system installed did not have a heat pump, necessitating a thermostat replacement just to enable basic electric heating. This puts me in a horrible position because my thermostat was connected to my home alarm system. Permitting and Installation Issues The installation process was further complicated by the company's lack of professionalism and adherence to regulatory requirements: • Failure to Obtain Proper Permits: The installation was delayed on 08/19/2025 because the required city permits had not been pulled. I was compelled to assist the company's team by providing links and guidance on the city’s permitting process. • Incorrect Permit Filing: The company initially filed the permit with incorrect information, stating a five-ton unit was being installed instead of the agreed-upon four-ton unit, requiring me to demand correction before installation could proceed. Conclusion: A Deliberate Breach of Trust I clearly and repeatedly expressed my expectation and understanding that I was purchasing a four-ton unit with a heat pump—before the contract was signed and again immediately prior to installation. Mr. Rodriguez and the company had multiple opportunities to correct any misunderstanding or state explicitly that a heat pump was not included but deliberately chose to withhold this critical information, relying on vague or misleading assurances. The final system installed was demonstrably not what was requested or agreed upon. This pattern of misrepresentation regarding the unit specifications, regulatory compliance, and the attempt to install damaged equipment highlights a fundamental and unacceptable lack of ethical business conduct. I urge consumers to seek services from companies that value honesty and honor their contractual obligations.

Luke came out from Efficient air and he was straight forward with pricing and the solution for our new AC needs. I highly recommend Efficient air Houston for your AC needs. On installation day the installers showed up on time as promised and were very meticulous in their work. They didn’t make a mess and cleaned up afterwards. Efficient Air Houston definitely surpassed my expectations on this AC install. Great job.

Colton was very "efficient"! He was patient and took the time to explain a number of things about my system, options for replacement, etc. I'm super happy with his customer service.

Chance and Doug were able to help us out with our breaker issues. They were very helpful and professional. They were able to give me an honest diagnostic of the issues and went above and beyond to offer me a surge protector for the price of all the other issues.
