What Customers Say
“Souber was fantastic to work with. He was friendly, professional, and clearly knew exactly what he was doing. Our AC had been down for a while, and with the heat wave, getting it fixed quickly was extremely important. Souber diagnosed the issue, got everything up and running fast, and took the time to explain what was going on along the way. He was approachable, courteous, and made the whole experience stress-free. It’s always reassuring when a technician is both highly knowledgeable and genuinely pleasant to deal with. Thanks to Souber, our home is comfortable again. I would gladly recommend him to anyone needing HVAC service.”
“I rarely leave negative reviews, but after dealing with Ambassador HVAC for over 2 years regarding a warranty issue that was never properly resolved, I feel people should know what to expect. My AC unit suddenly stopped working, so I contacted Ambassador HVAC to diagnose the issue. Although the unit was under warranty, I still had to pay for the service call because, according to them, the warranty only covers parts, not labour. After their first diagnosis, they told me the system was low on refrigerant and recommended topping it up. I paid for that service, trusting their assessment. The very next day, the exact same issue happened again. I had to contact them a second time, and this time they recommended a leak test, which again I had to pay for because the problem was not properly diagnosed the first time. After leaving the system for several days and running their tests, they finally discovered that the evaporator coil was leaking and needed to be replaced under warranty. At that point, we were told the part was not in stock and could take at least a year to arrive. That meant we were left without AC for the entire summer. Now we are into the SECOND summer with the same unresolved issue. During all this time, there was absolutely no follow-up from Ambassador HVAC. No updates, no communication, no check-ins, nothing. I had to personally call them again to ask what was happening. Only then was I told the part had finally arrived, but now they wanted almost $1,000 in labour just to install a warranty part. When I asked if I could simply pick up the warranty part myself or have it delivered so I could arrange installation elsewhere, they refused and said “that’s not our policy.” What made this even worse was the response from the manager, Gus. When I explained the situation and asked why they could not release the part, his response was: “Well how would I get paid for the part?” That answer was shocking considering the part itself is under manufacturer warranty. At that point it honestly felt less about helping the customer and more about finding another way to charge money after years of delays and failed diagnostics. To make matters worse, I was also informed that the manufacturer no longer carries this item anymore, meaning if this repair fails again in the future, I may end up replacing the entire unit anyway. So after: * Paying multiple service and diagnostic fees * Losing 2 summers without proper AC * Receiving little to no follow-up communication * Waiting over a year for a warranty part * Being asked to pay nearly $1,000 more in labour * Receiving no compensation, discount, or accountability whatsoever …I can honestly say this has been one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve dealt with. Very disappointing experience. Poor communication, poor follow-up, and no real effort to stand behind the customer once the sale and service charges were collected. I would not recommend Ambassador HVAC to anyone looking for reliable HVAC service or warranty support.”
“Non responsive and they keep sending technicians that are not knowledgeable. UPDATED: The owner reached out and was very kind and professional. He came in himself to my house with his technician the next day and thoroughly explained the situation. He was able to promptly address my issue and it is now resolved. I appreciate how knowledgeable they were and the effort put into solving the issue. He also kindly explain additional heating tips and how to ensure my home is efficiently heated. They care about customer satisfaction. Thank you.”
“I don’t usually leave reviews, but I felt this was worth mentioning. While driving, I witnessed one of this company’s service vans weaving aggressively through traffic, constantly cutting between lanes and trying to squeeze past other vehicles just to get a few cars ahead. It wasn’t just one lane change—it was repeated, unnecessary, and reckless. When a vehicle has a company’s name on it, the driver’s actions reflect directly on that business. Driving like this not only puts other people at risk but also creates a very poor impression of the company. Professionalism shouldn’t end when the workday starts—it should include how employees operate company vehicles on public roads. I hope the company takes this seriously and reminds its drivers that safety should always come before saving a few seconds on the road.”
“I was a client of a competitor and had even bought a protection plan for my AC through them. However, when it stopped working, I was told that protrction plan would not cover any repairs because my 8-year old AC unit was not repairable. Seeking a 2nd opinion, I reached out to Ambassador Dearie HVAC who responded quickly with setting up a visit to assess my AC unit. During that initial visit, the technician not only determined the cause of the problem but also repaired the unit that I was told was not repairable. The Ambassador Dearie office reached out afterwards to set up an appointment a couple of months later to ensure that the repaired 100% solved the problem. My experience has been better than I could ever expect. I would recommend Ambassor Dearie HVAC to anyone!”
