“Doug explained everything that needed to be accomplished to make our furnace more effective in easy terms for me. The last company we had was overcharging us by $1300. I’m so glad that he was recommended to me. Took a huge burden off of us.”

“Doug at ATC has performed two big jobs at our Hinsdale home in the last 18 months. One job was a challenging furnace removal and installation project in our 3rd floor attic space, which also required coordination with the insulation team and roof repair guys. He went above and beyond in making sure the new furnace and A/C installation went smoothly. And over the multi-day project there were multiple examples where he chose "quality" over "speed of completion". I couldn't have been more happy with the outcome and his commitment to quality. And then this past week he came back to my house to fix a significant venting problem related to our two upstairs bathrooms. I've had multiple HVAC guys come take a look over the years, but no one could quite "figure it out" (or maybe they just didn't care). Doug installed a new venting path (to the outside of the house) for our master bathroom and masterfully figured out the cause of the lack of air flow for our girls bathroom. This "upstairs venting issue" has been a thorn in my side for over a decade, so this is an amazing accomplishment, and once again shows his expertise and commitment to quality. Meanwhile, he's a great guy, really good communicator, and he performed all the work with a smile. “I called AmericanTemperatureControl for a problem with the Furnace not activating. Doug and Matt came over very quickly, diagnosed the problem and fixed it by cleaning rust and deposits off the burners and gas pathways. We have used AmericanTemperatureControl several times in the past few years. They have proven to be very capable, very responsive, and able to figure out the peculiarities of the specific installation providing cost effective solutions to problems. They are happy to recommend cleaning and repair where appropriate but also look at larger HVAC system optimizations. From my experience they are very trustworthy plus a pleasure to work with.”

“I was told the part installed cost $334 dollars for a small board. I said you have to be kidding and I proceeded to get a speech about how much parts cost. My wife checked it out and found out you can by that part for less then one third the cost that we were charged. I sent an email asking for an explanation but no response. The other odd thing was the original call was poor airflow. Turned out my filter was clogged but I was getting heat and a/c. As you can see by the photos, this confirms my review.”
