“I stumbled upon this place completely by accident while walking by and noticing the sign for the Dallas Firefighters Museum. On a whim, I decided to step inside and I’m so glad I did. Right away, I was greeted by a veteran firefighter who had the coolest desk I’ve ever seen (you’ll see if you go). They offer a guided tour for just $8. He mentioned it would take about 15–20 minutes depending on how many questions I had… and let’s just say I had quite a few. What I expected to be a quick stop turned into one of the most memorable experiences of my life. The guide was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, bringing every artifact and story to life in a way that genuinely left me speechless. I walked in with little to no prior interest in firefighting history, but walked out with a deep respect and admiration for the profession and its history. This is one of those unexpected experiences that really stuck with me. I’m grateful I took the chance to go in, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone. Regardless of age or background. It’s absolutely worth your time.”

“Brought our 4yr old and 2yr old who loved looking around. It's a very small museum but definitely worth coming by. They had a couple of old "firetrucks" and the kids can borrow a hat & jacket on the way in.”

“I was under the impression that this museum was free (the google question and answer people said it was free and donations were accepted). 2 adults and 1 three year old we paid $12 not bad and completely worth it. My son had so much fun. The person in charge there gave us a brief history on the museum. He was so nice. There’s jackets and helmets for kids to put on and you can get on some of the fire engines. It was a experience. I highly recommend this place specially for little ones.”

Upon arrival, kids are giving firefighters suits and helmet to wear while exploring the antique fire fighting artifacts. Being in a former firehouse adds a lot of character to the museum. Upon exit, kids are given a coloring book and a souvenir plastic helmet. Admissions are super reasonable at $6 per adult and small kids are free. Free street parking.”
