About

Cleaver Brooks Sales And Services Inc operates out of San Antonio, Texas as a boiler and HVAC specialist serving commercial and industrial sites across the region. They focus on full boiler room work including burners, controls, and exhaust systems that tie directly into heating and cooling setups. With service locations listed for San Antonio and other Texas spots like Dallas and Houston, the outfit handles both routine upkeep and bigger system needs. Their background centers on supplying parts, running rentals, and providing round the clock response for breakdowns that affect building operations in the local climate.

Technicians show up for emergency calls on all brands of combustion equipment and burner management gear. One review described a job where workers billed eight man hours on a boiler that had already cooled after two hours, then returned later for a spot weld repair that took extra time and an extra man. Another case involved a lift release valve purchased for seven to nine hundred dollars that failed to hold pressure correctly, leading to a proposed hydro test trip from Dallas. On the positive side, their engineering group supported a patented water reclamation process by quickly grasping the unique setup and helping refine it. They also stock genuine parts and offer boiler rentals when systems go down hard.

Customers point to repeated problems with overbilling, slow damage claims, and unnecessary extra labor that drag down the overall marks on speed and price. Quality gets mixed notes, with some repairs holding up but others leaving owners frustrated over follow up costs. Communication comes across as uneven when crews identify extra work that feels unneeded. The single strong review highlights solid technical backup on complex systems, yet the bulk of feedback centers on those billing and response shortfalls. DIRT Score 1.89 from 11 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

Poor service is the day's proposal, and if they happen to damage anything while they're at your facility, good luck trying to get them to reimburse you for any repair costs.

November’20 -Charged 8 man hours for boiler too hot to work on. It was cool after 2. Of course their guys saw opportunities here. They came back next week and did a good repair spot weld. Many man hours again. 2nd guy was not needed I figure.. Maybe someone knows better for spot weld repair. Not sure how many hours were charged for repair, but safe to guess it was more than the 8 for the turn around job. Lots of man hours and 2 guys - good repair though

We have a very sophisticated technology for water reclamation which is patented now globally. It is first of its kind, for sure. The Engineering Department at CB Service dug into it and gave great support to our company. They very quickly understood our unique process and assisted in developing the much-needed manufacturing drawings which even included improvements to the original design, thereby saving costs in manufacturing and providing serviceability for the product. Very knowledgeable people to work with.

I bought a 150 lift release valve , not even a year ago 700-900$ and it lifted at 130 psi and reset at 60 psi cleaver brooks wanted to come out from Dallas to Canton and hydro the valve on my boiler , because they say they have no way to test a valve at there shop ? I said they could but I would not pay for the trip , to make a long story short I will not ever call them again , it’s a shame to too, they said they can’t look up a Invioce that someone else at cleaver brooks did , the guy was Daniel wantland , I find all this really hard to believe I highly do not recommend cleaver brooks Danny , Ayers

I am the Facility Mainteance Manager at Brasscraft Manufacturing Company. Our Gas Combustion Linkage failed at 4pm yesterday. I called and got he on call center. I was called back in about 30min by the oncall boiler service tech. He already had the data plate information on our boiler and went to his local shop found the part and was at our plant in 1 hour. He had our boiler back in service by 8:30pm. Great Company, Great Service Tech, and a Great Experience.
